Camilas pov

"Mija, we are going to say hello to the new neighbour" mom said, I nod and see she had some cookies on a plate.

"Can I come?" I ask, she nods and I smile putting my shoes on, we walk over and dad knocks the door and it's soon opened by a girl looking down at her phone.

"Come in mani-you're not Normani" she said, I giggle as did mom dad looked like he couldn't care any less.

"No" I say, she blushed and then someone walks next to my mom and next to her

"Laur, who are these?" The tall black girl said

"I don't know" she said, then looks at us

"Are you the police, if so I didn't do it you have no proof" she said, I frown

"Uh, actually we are just here to say welcome to the neighbourhood..." I say, mom looks a little suspicious at her.

"Oh, thanks...about the I didn't do it thing, all I did was spray paint on a wall" she mumbled, I nod

"My dads a cop" I say, she goes wide eyed

"I didn't do it" she said, I giggle shaking my head

"He's not" I laugh, she sighed

"Stop doing that or I'll bite your head off" she said, I giggle

"These are for you" mom said, Lauren smiles

"Cookies! Thanks" she said, she eats one and as her friend goes to get one she turns her back to her

"You didn't move" she said, I giggle

"I'm going" dad said, I roll my eyes

"These are good" Lauren said, then a little kitten comes running to her legs

"Hey buddy" she said, she puts the plate down and picks him up

"Oh my god" I coo and walk over petting him

"So cute" I coo, the girl giggles

"I'm Lauren" she said, I look up at her and smile

"I'm camila" I say, she smiles and I play with the kitten in her arms

"Mija, I'm going to check on your father" mom said, I nod and keep playing with the cat

"Here" she said, she hands him to me I smile and kiss his head

"Come in" she said, I smile and walk in

"These are fucking good" she said eating another cookie, I giggle and place the kitten down and he runs to Lauren, I smile.

I look around and see she's already unpacked everything and it looks really nice

"You have a nice place" I say, she smiles

"Thanks" she said, she looks down at the kitten as he sits on her foot

"What do you want?" She asked, he meowed and put his paw on her leg

"Okay, come on" she said, she picks him up and sets him on her shoulder

"What's his name?" I ask, she smiles

"Buddy" she said, I giggle

"It's cute" I say, she smiles and I go on my tippy toes and kiss his nose, he put his paw on mine and I coo

"Hey laur, when's ally getting here?" Normani asked, then my phone goes off

"I'm sorry" I say, Lauren nods and I answer my phone
