"Come on! Jamie's back at school!" Sarah said, tugging on both Faith and my sleeves.
"Okok..." I said, but Faith started pouting. "We don't have to go..."
"Yes we do!" She said, glaring at Faith. "I know that you don't really like her, but you've got to go all the same!"
I helped Sarah as she dragged Faith over to the cafeteria.
"It's her own boasting that got her in the hospital... We shouldn't have to care about her..." Faith was mumbling as we navigated across the crowded cafeteria.
"Jamie!" Sarah yelled as we got to the table. She ran over and hugged Jamie as she smiled.
"Are you okay?" She said, letting go of her. "I'm fine now, although I can't do anything heavy..." she answered, looking at her arm.
"Jamie, this is Valentina. Valentina, this is Jamie," Sarah said brightly, pulling me towards her. I waved shyly. Jamie seemed like the loud and open type.
She smiled at me. "Hi, Val! Sarah told me a lot about you!" I smiled back.
Suddenly, someone pushed me away gently. I turned around to see Michaela.
"Oh, Jamie! You're back!" she said loudly, and swept Jamie into a generous hug.
We all sat around the table, where Raven was already sitting. "Lilith, did you cheat on Parker?"
"Yeah..." She said lazily. Sarah rolled her eyes. "Not again! It's the second one since the start of the year!"
"It's already a record!" She retorted. Sarah sighed.
"When are you ever going to learn..." I giggled.
"Did ya'll read the BOB books for this year?" Faith said excitedly, sliding into the seat next to mine.
"Of course I did! All of them!" Jamie boasted.
"Well, do you even know the author of Posted?" She shot back, with an angry tone in her voice. "Well..." Jamie stammered.
"JOHN DAVID ANDERSON!" Faith yelled in frustration. "Don't say you've read the books when we know you haven't!"
Sarah sighs. "Stop arguing. Please." They both shut up immediately. I had a feeling that Sarah was always the person in the middle.
