"so what is a coincidence?" ms. lee asks her students who were either bored, dozing off, not paying attention or sleeping. it was english period, students at ilkwang highschool found the subject boring, and the teacher too.

"no one knows?" she looks at her class, feeling empty. she scans the room to find a student who was paying attention so she could ask him or her the given question.

sigh. she finds no one, all of them we're not cooperating. "then i would call a student" she decides, slamming the chalk to her chalk. she sees kim hyunjin, face annoyed because of her seatmate named lee hwan and lee donghyuck.

"you, lee hwan," she points at the boy who was laughing and playing with kim hyunjin's hair, but now he isn't because he was called by the teacher.

"maam, can you repeat the question?" he, who was facing hyunjin shifts his position to face the teacher. ms. lee rolls her eyes, "what is a coincidence?"

"uhm.... is it the word you use if you see your teacher, dressed like a lady in the restaurant you are in, waiting for her blind date to come??" he tilts his head to the side. the teacher glares at him, and the class laughed.

"do you want your detention hours added, lee hwan?" the teacher tried to be calm because student lee hwan lowkey teased her teacher who went to restaurants to meet up with her blind dates not knowing her most annoying student was there.

"no maam-" he tried to hold his laughter the whole time. "see, you don't. so answer the question properly or else" she warns.

"so what maam?" lee hwan blurts out again. "lee hwan!" she raises her voice. "sorry maam" he bows using his head, not standing up.

"you better learn to respect, you have no manners. as for now, lee donghyuck would answer this" donghyuck who was cackling about something with hyunjin stops doing his thing and looks at the teacher with a pouty sad face, "but m-"

"no buts, you have to answer." she cuts of donghyuck and crosses her arms. "now, what is coincidence again?"

"kim hyunjin said she would answer it for me" he smiles ridiculously while wrapping his arms to hyunjin who wasn't amused by his sudden passing of a question she wasn't familiar about.

"lee donghyuck! get off me!" she removes his arms, eyes mad while looking at donghyuck who's eyes are the exact opposite, radiating sunshine and rainbow unicorns.

"since donghyuck does not know the answer, you answer it, kim hyunjin" she focuses to hyunjin who was nervous because she did not know the exact answer, "this is all your fault, lee hwan and lee donghyuck" she mouths to her celebrating seatmates.

"pst, kim hyunjin" yeji at the back of hyunjin passes a peice of paper to her. hyunjin looks back and receives the paper. "from choi soobin, that's the answer" she whispers, hyunjin nods and looks at soobin who was besides yeji. she blinks once as a sign of thank you.

she stands up "coincidence is a...." she looks at the paper to know the answer. "the occurrence of events that happen at the same time by accident..." she pauses and steals a glimpse to the remaining words "but seem to have a connection" she finishes the answer.

lee hwan and lee donghyuck applauded kim hyunjin so loud that the others clapped too. the dead atmosphere (that was revived slowly by hyunjin's seatmates) lit up.

soobin smiles proudly to kim hyunjin who was giving a thumbs up to him for a thank you, he nods as a sign of welcome. kim hyunjin grins to the teacher.

"thank you for the merriam-webster answer miss kim hyunjin, or should i say sir choi soobin?" she raises a brow. hyunjin, yeji and soobin eyes widen. the look at each other, how did she know?

the teacher chuckles lightly, "i know everything, dear students, so study and don't dare to cheat for tomorrow's test in english. that is all, class dismissed" she wraps up the whole class and walks outside the classroom. the students whine, like always when an announcement comes up that they are having a test tomorrow.

kim hyunjin sits in her chair, face neutral. lee hwan stretches his arms, donghyuck was yawning, "hey kim hyunjin, let's go to the snack bar" donghyuck suggests, "yeah jin, let's go"

"first of all, don't call me jin because i am not the only jin here and im going to stay here, im going to study" she arrangers her notes, books and pens, preparing her desk for a study session.

"where is the old kim hyunjin?? the care free hyunjin who doesn't care about anything??" hwan dramatically questions her. "yeah! where is kim hyunjin who fails every class except cookery?" donghyuck joins the act making kim hyunjin grinning while shrugging.

"i don't want to like you guys, who will obviously fail" she highlights something on her notebook. hwan and donghyuck looks at each other, in disbelief.

"whatever! let's just go!" hwan grabs donghyuck's wrist. "let's include jaemin wait!" he calls na jaemin and the three of them went to the snack bar. now, kim hyunjin is left in the quiet classroom with the other study addicts.

she reads the paragraph of the meaning of coincidence diligently, trying to digest everything so she would memorize it completely.

she looks outside the window, she sees some students outside having fun, playing soccer, girls chatting like any teenager, some just taking walks around the campus's tracks.

she stares at them and saw something that caught her attention. a bright faint white light that seemingly calls to her. she covers it with her hands as it might blind her, the heck is that. she lowers her arms slowly to check if the light is still there

"hey kim hyunjin" soobin sits beside her making her lower her hand and arm completely. "yes soobin what favor are you going to ask again?" she sits properly.

"nah i just wanna talk about our teacher being weird for knowing that i thought you hahaha" says soobin while sarcastically laughing.

"oh right! thanks for the answer. you shouldn't have to. and besides, why are you giving me answers, you are the top one student, you shouldn't do that!"

"it's not like that. there was no problem for me. i was just being... helpful!" he replies. hyunjin grins. "what do you got there?" she peeks at soobin's side where his arm was holding something.

"ah! i just wanted to give you this. i heard you liked bread so i got you one because we have a lot in home" he grins awkwardly while hyunjin was beyond excited so she was speechless.

"OMG THANK YOU FOR THIS BREAD!" she gets it fastly making soobin startled a bit. "hehehe, welcome! i'll be in my seat, studying!" soobin does a little gesture for writing as he gets up and walked towards his seat, hyunjin nods once and opens the bread for her to eat.

"ow!" hyunjin was surprised at something so she raises her arm again to block something. she was eating bread while it happened, she almost chocked but continued chewing it. it was the light from before, disturbing her session with the bread.

what the fuck was that for??!

so this was like the prologue of coincidence! hyunjin is the only loona member here with other idols (lee hwan isnt) as you can see. no shipping intended and dont worry! more loona soon ;) pleace wait for it <3
