The name Charis is Greek for kindness and life, having to do with charity or charisma. Charis (also known as Algaea or Cale) was one of three Charities/Graces, the youngest daughter of Zeus and the Oceanid Eurynome. Charis also comes from the Greek sea monster, Charybdis who responsible for the destruction of many ships.

Her caste name Pelagi comes from Pelagic clay, a type of oceanic sediment that covers 38% of the ocean floor.

Everything is cached in pretty pots with very unique patterns, to retrieve a specific item, she must break the pot with that item in it. Due to not being able to see what it is, more often than not, Charis breaks the wrong pot and has to break the other pots when looking for whatever it is she wants. She'll cache the other items when she's finished and clean up the mess which proves to be a very tedious task.
