Feelings or whatever

It's been almost a week since Jo and I met and now it's almost time to start filming. We're meeting the entire cast tonight before we start shooting tomorrow and I'm nervous, which is weird. I was nervous when I first met Jo but now I'm nervous for completely different reasons. Having spent the last days only with Jo, I don't know what it's gonna be like with so many new people around us. Is she gonna have better chemistry with someone else? Will she prefer to spend time with other people? Honestly, I can't think like this, it's been nice having her around most of the time but I can't expect her to always be by my side, specially not now. I shake these thoughts off my head and get up to go meet everyone for breakfast. We're meeting on set so when I get there the only people I see are the crew and Anna. She turns to me and says - "You're early."

"Technically, I'm just not late."

"Smart. How did you sleep?"

"Fine."

"Should I ask again or pretend like you're extremely happy."

"Maybe neither? I just didn't get much sleep."

"A certain blonde has been keeping your mind busy?" Anna can't even hide her little smirk.

"Very funny."

"So I'm not wrong?" She's full on smiling now which confuses me

"I didn't even say anything. And even if that were the case, shouldn't you be more worried than happy?" 

"Hero, I've said this before and I'll say it again. I'm not worried, I'm not one to judge anything. You might be young but I'm sure you're both professional and know what you're doing. Besides, You didn't say anything right?" She winks at me before saying "She's behind you" and turning to go to the breakfast table.

I turn immediately and see her looking adorable and sleepy, and realize Anna got what she wanted without me even saying a word, but in that moment I didn't care. I turn around to give Jo a hug, something we've gotten into the habit of doing in the past few days. - "Morning beautiful, sleep well?"

"I did, but I'm really nervous right now, I can't believe we're meeting everyone today. Do you know when they get here?"

"I don't actually, I just know we're all having dinner together. We'll probably all meet before heading to the restaurant. I'm really excited to meet everyone but it's gonna feel different, so many people on set from now on, but it'll be fun."

"Yeah."

I notice her tone and want to ask what that was about but before I could open my mouth we're being called for breakfast. Jo gives me a little smile and seats next to Anna, leaving me to seat by the end of the table next to the crew.

While everyone is eating I can't help but look at Jo who hasn't stopped talking to Anna yet. When she's done she excuses herself and heads out. I look at Anna, trying to understand if somethings wrong but she doesn't look my way so I decide to stay where I am and finish eating. If something is going on she'll tell me later I'm sure.

It's past 6pm, I need to be ready by 7pm and I still haven't heard from Jo. We usually spend the afternoon together after having lunch either together or with everyone but I haven't seen her since breakfast. I ponder going to her room to check if somethings wrong but I'm running out of time and I don't wanna make everyone late so I decide to leave it knowing I'll see her at the lobby, we can talking on the car.

When I'm finally ready I head out and knock on Jo's room door but get no answer. I try again but nothing still. I make my way downstairs wondering if I did something wrong but everything was fine this morning before she left the table, I don't understand what could've changed.

The first person I see is Anna and decide to scare her since she has her back to me. I make my way silently hoping no one points to me and when I get to her she jumps and screams, turning her back realizing it was me she swats my arm and I can't help my laugh.

"Hero, for fucks sake you scared the crap out me, not funny. And you're the last here, the girls already left."

"Actually very funny. And at least I'm not late, I'll introduce myself later."

"Ha ha, here, this is Dylan, he's playing Noah. I'm going to say hi to everyone, take your time." She leaves us talking so I decide to introduce myself.

"So you're playing the famous Noah, I've heard a lot about him this past week. I'm Hero, I'm playing Hardin Scott, how are you feeling?"

"I'm sure you have. Well, I'm Dylan, it's nice to meet you. I'm nervous but I can't wait to start shooting, everyone I met seems so fun, specially Jo, she was so nice with everyone."

"Jo? You've met her? Did she-" Before I can finish my question he notices someone behind me.

"Oh look, Shane and Samuel." He waves at them and motions for them to join us. "This is Hero, our main male."

After introducing ourselves and finding out Sam is playing Zed I can't help but say - "So, you're playing the guy who's trying to steal my girl?" He laughs and Anna gets back to us just in time and apparently heard what I said.

"Yes Hero, he's trying to steal your girl." Anna winks. "Not that you have to worry about that now. We should get going, don't wanna be late." Everyone agrees but I stay behind for a second and call for Anna.

"Everything okay?" Anna asks

"Yeah, yeah. Did you talk to Jo? Is everything okay?"

"Sure, at least I don't think anything's wrong."

"Oh, okay."

Anna is still looking at me, not very convinced with my answer so I decide to continue.

"It's just that she left breakfast and I haven't seen her all day, which hasn't happened this whole week, but it's nothing really."

"She's fine, you could've called her or knocked at her door. Dylan and Shane got here earlier than everyone else so she decided she wanted to spend a few minutes with them. Guess she must've lost track of time and spent the entire afternoon together, but that's good, they're bonding."

"You're right, yeah." I can't help but feel a bit jealous, why didn't I know about any of this? I could've met them as well.

"Look, they hit it off, they laughed the whole time, but it's a different bound to the one you guys have. More people on set means more people to get to know, this first couple of days are going to be crazy but don't let it get to you, specially don't let it destroy what you two have. I can tell you for sure that no one you or her meet on this set will be more special than you are for each other. Come on now jealous boy, let's get to your girl. " She had the biggest smirk on her face and I groan embarrassed by the whole situation but I still thank her, I was acting like an ass. I'll ask Jo if she wants to watch a movie later tonight.

We get to the restaurant and the girls are already seated and I notice Jo has an empty seat next to her. She catches my eye and waves at me, gesturing to seat next to her. I smile like an idiot and happily go to her. I take the seat and kiss her cheek. "I missed you today."

"You saw me today." - She says with the sweetest smile on her face.

"Well, yeah but that doesn't count. Up for a movie after dinner?"

"If you're the one choosing I might as well just prepare myself to fall asleep right away."

"Very funny, but you can choose, but only today. I'll be right back, I need to meet everyone I didn't at the lobby earlier." I get up and introduce myself to all the girls that are apart of our cast and soon after I'm back on my seat.
