*Lucie*

There he is. Phil Lester. Fricking perfect in every way.

I guess I should start from the beginning. I'm Lucie and I'm in year 12 - first year of sixth form. I've just started my A-Levels... I'm studying maths, further maths, electronics and physics. It's a kinda strange combination for a girl - don't get me wrong, I'm not saying girls shouldn't be doing these subjects (I mean I'm doing them!), but its just, unusual. Anyway, I'm rambling, sorry! My point is, my classes consist of me, one other girl, and seven boys. One of which is Phil Lester.

Phil Lester. There are literally no words I can think of to describe him. His eyes are this deep ocean blue that I've never really seen before, and his hair, ugh, its jet black and he has this gorgeous unique fringe going on. Well, unique other than that Dan guy in my class.

He's the smartest in the class too. This might sound really weird, but there's just something about a boy who can solve an equation in a minute, or quote some physicist from the 19th century. Every word that comes out of that boy's mouth is articulate and meaningful; as though it's been crafted to make and impression. And he's sure succeeded in making an impression on me!

So anyway, I'm walking into further maths now, and I see Phil sitting on the front row, his eyes dancing with eagerness to learn some binomial expansion, and it makes my stomach do a little flippy thing. I think its unhealthy to fancy someone this much! I walk towards the chair next to Phil, but just as I'm about to sit down, that Dan kid swoops in there and sits literally where he could see I was going to sit! What a prat. Begrudgingly, I move to the back of the room, where I slump down on my own and put one earphone in. Complete dick.

*Dan*

Oh my God, why was that bitch trying to take my seat?

Hi. So, my name is Dan. Nice to meet you.

Im 16 and I'm in year 12 at this place. Erm, there's not much else to say about me really, I'm pretty simple to understand, I think. I'm just a typical teenager with dreams and stuff, you know, the unrealistic one's like being an actor... the ones you just know wont happen because of endless procrastination and thus inevitable failure. So, yeah. I'm kinda at the point where I just wanna have a good time and try not to think too much about actual life. Wow, this got quite deep quite quick. Lets move on. Where was I...?

Okay so I was walking into further maths when I quickly scanned the room to see where Phil was... he has this weird habit of sitting in a different seat every lesson to "keep himself on his toes". He's so cute like that. Anyway, I always sit next to Phil because he's pretty damn incredible at maths, and although I'm also quite good, its good to have him there to help, because you can pretty much guarantee when I'm stuck on a question, Phil wont be. Ugh, he's so good; I don't actually know whether I'm a little bit jealous or completely and utterly dumbfounded by his abilities - so impressive.

But on this particular day, one of the girls in the class - Lucie - is literally heading for my seat next to Phil, and she has quite a pace to her approach too. Why is she so eager to sit with him?! Without thinking, I start to move quicker and quicker and basically throw myself in front of her and onto the seat next to Phil. Shit Dan, come on, what are you, twelve? Why am I so eager to sit with him...?

*Phil*

Oh my goodness, what just happened?

Hi I'm Phil. I'll keep this brief because I don't want to bore you. I'm 16, I'm taking maths, further maths, physics and English literature, and I'm quite good at them, I think. I mean I don't want to come across big-headed at all, that is the last thing I'd want, but I think its relevant to what I'm about to tell you.

I've just witnessed Lucie and Dan virtually attack each other like wild lions, just for the seat next to me! I can't believe it! I'm assuming its because I'm good at maths and they think I'll help them... and they're right. I love helping people at college, especially when it comes to subjects I'm passionate about like maths and physics.

The situation unfolded in front of me before I could think and it ended up with Dan 'winning' the seat and Lucie sulking to the back like a child. Truthfully, I'm glad Dan ended up next to me, I enjoy talking to him quite a lot.

Mr. Wilkinson walks into the room though, equipped with text books and maths quizzes, and I get pretty excited at the prospect of learning something new, so I guess I can't really think about Dan and Lucie right now, sorry!
