Chapter 2 || Welcome Back

The plane had just landed, finally. Luna was not feeling well at all. Of course she was used to flying in a plane due to her career. Her own plane is basically where she lives. 

She had made her way to the exit of the plane where she was greeted with a set of stairs. Massimo helped her down as her head shook in agonizing pain. She had to throw up, and most importantly, she needed rest. 

As soon as their plane landed, Massimo and Luna were already on their way to dinner. They were going to meet up with their friends at a fancy restaurant. Of course, that's one of the many perks of being elite.

Luna took deep breaths in and out as she rested her head on Massimo's shoulder. 

"We're almost there..." Massimo said calmly as he placed a gentle kiss on her head. 

Luna held onto his arm as she slowly closed her eyes. Her head was spinning, she felt like vomiting, and the thought of any food made her vomit. 

After what seemed like 5 hours of agonizing pain, they had pulled up to their designated location  where multiple of their friends had already arrived. Of course, Luna being Luna arrived late. 

But I can assure you, she can make one hell of an entrance. 

"Are you gonna be okay?" Massimo asked as she wrapped her hand around his arm. 

Luna nodded as she carried her purse in the other hand. 

They were both escorted by the host to a secluded area of the restaurant. 

After the host had shown them to their private room, Luna had knocked on the door before entering. She could hear chatter behind the door. As soon as she knocked, the room had turned silent. 

She slowly opened the door as everybody turned their heads towards the door. Her eyes immediately went to Ander who was sitting closer to the door. 

Her heart sunk... she didn't know why she felt that way but it was a horrid feeling. 

Reba stood up from her seat and frantically ran towards Luna. Luna welcomed her with open arms as the two best friends crashed into each other. 

Luna chuckled as Reba held her close. 

Reba pulled back and held onto Luna's arms as she observed Luna from head to toe, "I can't believe it's really you." 

Luna laughed, "Oh come on, it hasn't been that long has it?" 

"You're still beautiful!" Reba said as tears formed in her eyes. 

"Of course I am," Luna sarcastically said as she wiped Reba's eyes, "Stop, you're gonna be seeing me for a few more weeks." 

After Reba had greeted the couple, everybody else followed after. Luna's eyes filled with gleam and joy as Serafina and Sophia approached her. 

"My baby sister!" Sophia screamed as she pulled Luna into a hug. 

Serafina approached the both of them and they stayed in that position for a good two minutes. 

Nothing felt better than home. And this was it, this was her home. In Spain with her sisters and her loved ones. 

After a couple more of her friends greeted them, Ander was the last one to say "Hi."

Luna awkwardly stood up as Ander approached her. Mind you, they haven't since her said goodbye to her at the airport. They cut all contact with each other. 

"Hey..." Ander said softly and gently. He pulled Luna into a hug as he laid a small kiss on her head.

Luna didn't even reply. She just wanted to take in the savor of his warmth and comfort. She forgot the feeling of it. It brought her back to good memories.
