Freya

She had lost count of how long she'd been running. All she knew was that she couldn't stop. If she stopped they would find her, and if they found her they would kill her. She was the last living Atchison, and they would not stop until all of the Atchisons had been slaughtered. She didn't need to stop to sleep since she couldn't anyways. She was too haunted by what had happened, by what she had seen that night.
Occasionally though, she would have days where she would half fall asleep while running and hit a tree or something. Those were the days that she'd leave the forest and go into town and replenish her supplies, get new clothes, and sleep for just one night before running again. Unfortunately, this was one of those days. She navigated herself to the nearest town and quickly tried to blend in. Though, blending in to a quiet little English town while your face is covered in dirt and your clothes are ripped to shreds is not very easy. She got the usual strange stares before people went back to ignoring her. She quickly found the nearest clothing store and practically ran in. She got what she always got: a long sleeve shirt and jeans. When she went to pay she got the normal funny look she always got before paying. She noticed that she was starting to run low on cash and would either have to start hooking or gambling to get some more. "Uh do you have a toilet?" Freya asked. "Yes, in the back" the woman said. "Thank you" Freya said before scrambling to the bathroom.
She entered and got a paper towel. She ran it under the sink and then started washing the dirt off her face. Once she had finished with her face she tried to get some of the mud out of her hair, but failed horribly. She knew that sooner or later she'd have to cut it short to prevent things like this, but she liked her long hair. She then removed her old clothes, which were more like muddy strands of fabric now, and changed into her new clothes. She quickly checked her pack to make sure she had everything. Food? Check! Knife? Check! Money? Check! Yep, she had everything.
She exited the bathroom and went to the nearest motel. Ah yes, crummy, dirty, disgusting motels, how she loved them so. She walked in and went to the front desk. The lobby looked kinda decent which meant she'd probably get some weird rat disease from staying here. "Room for one, please" she said to the man. "Do you have a reservation?" The man asked. "No" she said. "Okay well can I please see your ID then" the man asked. She got out her wallet with her five thousand fake IDs. Should she be Sally Hillsbourgh from Livingston, or Evelyn Samson from the Island of Skye. Sigh, decisions, decisions. She decided to be Kaitlyn Blackwell of St. Andrews since she hadn't had a chance to use that sucker yet. "Okay Miss Blackwell, here is your key" the man said "your room number is 034. Enjoy your stay!". She quickly huddled off to her room.
She decided to not replenish her food until tomorrow while she was heading out.

She was having a hard enough time sleeping as it was with the horrible memory of her whole family being murdered, it didn't help that there were drunk Welsh people next door. They were blasting the radio very loudly and screaming about how they too, were so fancy. She was about to go yell at them when there was a knock at the door. "What the bloody-" another knock. She went to the door. "Marylyn, baby, there you are I've been looking for you everywhere" more drunk Welsh men. He tried to come into her room but she slammed the door on his fingers. She laid down again and tried to tune out the horrifying sounds of 40 year old Welsh men singing about bang banging people. When it finally stopped because either a. The Welsh people suddenly realized that they were annoying an extremely violent twenty two year old Scottish girl or b. they'd all died of overconsumption of alcohol. She assumed it was the second one though. Then came her favorite part of trying to sleep; remembering.

She had only been gone for ten minutes to get water from the nearby pond. She could see the fighting from three meters away. She reached for her knife when she saw that it wasn't your normal everyday pissed off gang of werewolves. It was worse, much worse. Demons. She had learned about demons and that only a select few weapons could kill them, but she had never seen one personally before. Her family only possessed one weapon able to kill demons, an heirloom that was older than Jesus. But they had one knife, and there were at least ten demons. She knew joining in was pointless, but hey her family was in trouble. She launched herself onto a demon's back and cut his throat with her ordinary knife. He bled, but that was all. He grabbed her by the arms and flung her on the ground. She kicked him in the nuts and he screamed in pain. "You bitch!" He declared. "Damn right" she said. She stabbed the knife through his forehead and he hardly flinched. "Mum, give me the knife" she said. There was no reply. "Mum?" She asked. She turned around and saw the horror: her mum was dead, along with her brother Ed and father. "No!" She cried in grief before the demon launched himself on her. She struggled to get free and grabbed the first thing she could reach, which luckily was a rock. She smashed it over his head and he was out. She rant over to her mum's body in a panic. "I'm so sorry this happened to you" she said before taking the knife from her corpse. There were only two Atchisons left now. Her and little Sadie. Then high pitched screams filled her ears. No no no! She span around and saw her little sister's lifeless corpse falling to the ground. She let out a loud scream of grief. "No!!" She yelled. Then she went into a rage. She killed every demon she could, though greatly out numbered. There was a point where she couldn't take it any more and fled. And that was how she started running, and why she'll never stop. They're out there and they're looking for her, she knows they are. Sooner or later they'll realize she's no longer in Scotland and they'll come to England and find her. But until they do she has to survive. She doesn't know why she doesn't just put a bullet in her brain and call it quits. She doesn't have anything to live for honestly, but there's a part of her that wants to go on and find something better.

"Shit!" She said as she hit her head on the wall. Whoa, had she actually slept? Wow, she deserved a medal for that. She looked at the clock and her eyes widened. It was almost 10. "Goddammit!" She said before getting up and getting her bag. She rushed to the front desk. "Checking out so early are we, Miss Blackwell?" The man asked. "Yep" she said. She paid the man and was off. Her next step was simple: locate a supermarket. She walked for a good half of a kilometer before stumbling upon a convenience store. Better than nothing, she thought. She walked in and got a couple bottles of water, some snack food, some canned food and a kinder egg. She knew that the kinder egg was unnecessary, but ya know, it's a kinder egg. She went up to the man at the count who was reading the latest issue of "Big Booty Black Beauties". She nearly gagged when she saw it. "Whoa, you feeding a small African nation?" More stupid Welsh people, great. "Possibly" she said. "Funny. That'll be £40" he said. She paid the man and was off. Back to the forest, back to running, back to hiding.
