Chapter 21: Ground Beta

(A/n): I know that some of you were wondering when I was going to do a POV on Tokoyami. So this is a third POV but it is going to go back and forth between you and Tokoyami. Plus I added a little something extra in one paragraph. You'll know when you read it. ;) Anyways ENJOY~!

(Third POV)
From the corner of his eye, Tokoyami couldn't help but watch as (Y/n) quickly exited the room. She looked as though she were in some kind of hurry.

But then his mind immediately went back to what had happened. Which made his face heat up a bit and his feathers fluff again.

With him and (Y/n), too close for comfort, as she gently leaned in and gave him a kiss on the side of his beak. But her voice, it was so gentle and light when she whispered. It was enchanting.

Getting the image out of his head, he walked over to the columns and grabbed his costume case. Once he did, Tokoyami walked out the door as he followed the rest of his classmates to the locker room.

Once they reached the locker rooms, Tokoyami examined his classmates surroundings, soon to find out there was no sign of you anywhere.

'Where'd she go? She couldn't have possibly disappeared in thin air. . .'

'What are you worried about? Worried about your girlfriend~ Fumikage?'

'For the last time Dark Shadow, (Y/n) is not my girlfriend. I only consider her as a friend. . .'

'Are you sure about that Fumikage? I not only hear your thoughts but I have the same emotions as do. Plus I've seen her look at you so many times when we're in class. . .'

'Of course she stares, everyone stares at me. I have a bird head.'

'Okay so people do stare at you but she stares at you differently. (Y/n) has this sort of sparkle in her eyes when she sees you. . .'

'You are delusional Dark Shadow. No one's eyes sparkle out of now where. . .'

'Suit yourself. I'm not the only one who likes her. She's really pretty too!. . .'

Tokoyami let out an annoyed sigh as he entered the locker room. He sets down his case on the bench while opening his locker. As do the others around him.

Although Tokoyami has to admit that not all of Dark Shadow's thoughts were false. He would be lying if he hadn't thought that (Y/n) is the most beautiful girl he's ever seen. On top of that, ever spoken to him before.

The first time he met (Y/n), it was just another way for Dark Shadow to stop pestering him into making friends. It did however, slowly start to escalate when he learned about her past. He truly felt awful on how someone as kind, caring, energetic, and absolutely breathtaking to the eye, can be abused by those who are so self-absorbed.

Yet, after the fight in the cafeteria involving her, it showed him in reality how so many people mistreated her so unequally to others. It made his chest hurt when he saw her cry in front of him as well. It made him feel. . . upset.

Then when she suddenly opened up to him about her past and the truth about her quirks, he felt something in his chest that he hadn't felt before. He tried asking Dark Shadow about it, but of course, him being a shadow had no idea.

The feeling felt unusual to him. In addition, these feelings would only occur when (Y/n) was around. They even occur when he even thinks about her. When she would always smile around him, everything around him would disappear except for her. When he would hear her laugh, it would make his heart warm and fuzzy. The most important thing he has experienced so far, was whenever she would be around, it felt like the darkness within him had finally been lit up.
