Donald x Mike - COVID Edition

Chapter I - Keeping Distance

Donald Trump POV

Donald Trump stared longing at the picture of Mike Pence in his hands. He hadn't seen Mike in over 2 weeks and he longed to be in his arms. He missed the comforting smell of dust and paper that engulfed him. He missed his warm arms wrapped around him. He missed his comforting voice from when he would gently whisper in his ear.

No! He couldn't let himself turn into the very thing that he was against!

But then again he would be much happier if he was able to be with Mike. His head told him no, but his heart told him yes. He was torn between sides and knew that
it would eventually be too much for him. A tear rolled down Donald's orange cheek. Then another and another. Soon Donald's orange tan was had tear streaks in it. He wiped the tears from his face.

"Melinda!" Donald called in a demanding tone.

"What is it Mr. President?" Melinda answered kindly.

"I need you to take me to the tanning salon immediately!"

"Yes, sir." Melinda and Donald got up and walked down the hall. Melinda's heels taped loudly on the floor as she walked briskly. Soon they were outside. Melinda showed Donald to his limousine where a man was already standing holding the door open. Donald climed inside, and they sped off.

When they got to the tanning salon, which was private and only a few other people where allowed, someone familiar was already there. "Mike? Is that you?" Donald asked surprised. He thought that Mike was distancing himself.

"Yes, it's me, Donald," Mike replied.

"Why are you here? I thought you were distancing? Are you okay? Did something happen?" Donald was clearly panicked. He didn't understand why Mike would stop distancing and come visit him at his tanning salon. Something must be wrong.

"I'm okay, nothing happened. I came here for reasons...I'll tell you later when we're alone. But Donald, if anything I should ask you if you are okay. There are streaks going through your tan and I'm pretty sure I know what made them." Mike spoke in a comforting voice. Donald's eyes widened. He had forgotten about the reason why he had come for to the tanning salon in the first place.

"I...well...I...um..." Donald took a deep breath. "I was looking at a picture of you and thinking of you and how I missed you, and I started crying." Mike looked at Donald with a sympathetic look.

"I missed you too. That's actually the reason I came here. I mean there's more to it, but I can't tell you that here, not right now." Mike trailed off at the end. Donald could tell he was hiding something. Half of him hoped that it was the same thing that he felt towards him. But the other half of him knew that Mike would never be caught dead having feelings for him. Donald sighed loudly.

"Mike can we go talk somewhere else. I'll get my tan done later but I think we should talk first." Donald grabbed Mike's arm and pulled him into a nearby storage closet. Mike gasped.

"W-what are you doing?" Mike stammered.

"Mike, can you tell me the other reason why you came here? I would really like to know," Donald asked. That was the truth. He really did want to know why Mike came here. Mike took a deep breath before he spoke.

"I came here because being distant from you has made me realize that...that...I...I...I love you!" Mike burst out. Donald blushed and was obviously surprised by what Mike had said.

"I love you too Mike! That's one of the reasons why I was crying earlier, because I was heartbroken from not being able to see you," Donald said quickly. And with that Mike pulled Donald into a passionate and love filled kiss. A minute later they both pulled away from each other, breathless.

What do you think will happen in the next chapter will they go public with their love for each other or will they suppress it? I'll keep this updated pretty frequently considering that I have barely anything to do during quarantine. lol my writing is so bad but I think that just makes this all so much better 😅😭.
