Dead Doppelganger

Klaus was walking through the woods, trying to get his thoughts straight. He was trying to think of a way to get the cure down that annoying doppelganger's throat.

That's when he saw someone passed out on the ground. He had heard that there was a party at the Salvatore boarding house so he assumed it was a drunk human. He decided to wake up and feed on this human. That's until he saw who it was.

"Caroline?" Klaus said in disbelief.

"Caroline? Caroline?" He kept shaking her, trying to wake her up. "CAROLINE!!"

Suddenly Caroline rose up from the ground gasping for air. She looked around the woods frantically.

"Klaus?" Caroline asked.

"Yes love, it's me. How did you fall asleep out in the middle of the woods?" He asked.

"I.... Elen.... And...... The cure....." Caroline tried to explain to him what happened but she couldn't get the words out.

"What about the cure?" Klaus asked, very confused at this point. "Caroline?"

"Elena, she threw a party at the boarding house and then my mom showed up to shut it down and she tried to kill her and-" She

was trying to tell him the story until he cut her off.

"Caroline, did she kill your mother?" Klaus asked very concerned about her and if Elena did kill her mother he'd have no problem killing Elena.

"No she didn't kill my mom, she would have until I stopped her and that's when she ran away. So me, Stefan and Damon went searching for her. They went into town I came here and I found her and she started saying things she knew would hurt me and I kept telling her shut up and she started-" Caroline cut herself off she wasn't ready to tell him that she had feelings for him yet.

"She started what love?" He asked very intrigued to find out what happened next.

"She um... She started um... Talking about how Tyler dumped me for Hayley and then I snapped and we fought for a while and then she was going to stake me but she knew how much I loved being a vampire so she thought of an even cruler punishment." Klaus looked confused for a couple of seconds until he realized what she was saying.

"She force fed you the cure didn't she?" He asked. She nodded and after that all he could think about was ripping that doppelganger's heart out of her chest. But at the same time he wanted to comfort Caroline and be there for her,  especially since she looked like she was going to cry.

"Hey, hey don't cry love its okay, your going to be okay." Klaus said while pulling her into a hug. She hugged him back and just cried into his shoulder until Stefan and Damon came running down to them with panicked faces.

"Elena told us what happed, are you okay Caroline?" Stefan asked concerned about his best friend.

"Does she look alright Stefan?" Klaus asked with an angry tone to his voice. "You were supposed to be watching Elena, you were supposed to make sure she stayed in control and who was the idiot who gave her the cure?" Klaus was screaming at this point. Stefan and Caroline turned to Damon who was slowly and quietly backing away as Klaus was saying the last part. Klaus saw this and flashed over to Damon and pinned him against a tree by his neck. While doing this Klaus had picked up the same branch Elena had tried to kill Caroline with.

"Do you have any idea what I'm going to do to you Damon." He said right before he shoved the branch into Damon's stomach. He buckled over in pain as Klaus did this.

"I thought she was still sired to me so I told her take the cure but she didn't and that's why I tried to get it back at the party and then she snapped my neck." Damon said through gritted teeth.

"Damon, has anyone ever told your an idiot." Klaus asked sarcastically.

"Many people, many times." Damon said back which made Klaus stab him again with the branch.

"Stop it Klaus, okay just stop. Hurting Damon won't solve anything. Its fun but it doesn't solve anything." Caroline said earning a glare from Damon for the last part.

"Your right love." Klaus said in a soft tone as he was talking to Caroline. "But you two tell Elena the next time I see her she'll regret ever being born." Klaus said to the Salvatores in an angry tone.

"Will do." Damon said before him and Stefan flashed away.

"I'm assuming that you need a ride home?" Klaus asked Caroline.

"Ya, that would be great thanks." Caroline told him she honestly just wanted to go home and sleep and forget today ever happened.

"Come on my cars down here." Klaus said as they walked out of the woods towards his car.
