4 Months Later

"They don't like it when I speak. I'm a villain. I deserve this muzzle. Everyone hates me. That's what they said. But he accepted me. Izuku, was the first to accept me. He is my family. They are my family."

———————

It's been 4 Months. Izuku is 7 years old. He found out that Kacchan's quirk affected his hearing and decided to learn sign language with him and soon the others did too. Izuku had gotten Kacchan to learn fighting with the others and worked with him during school for the first month.

Kacchan had a tendency to be rude by accident and Izuku tried to show him different but it ended up just getting everyone frustrated. The family had learned Kat's temper and didn't get mad at him if he was rude by accident. The only thing Izuku didn't like was cursing around him and everyone learned that lesson pretty fast. Although Izuku is the most responsible and the most dangerous out of all of them he can be emotional sometimes. When he got really emotional everyone would just take some time with him to make sure he's alright and he really appreciated it. The family had decided to protect Izuku at all costs after seeing him cry for the first time.

Izuku was out by himself. He had been going patrolling by himself recently because he always enjoyed spending time with the animals all around, sometimes feeding them.

He had found this tabby cat and was playing with it before it suddenly bolted away. Izuku had decided to follow it. He had went in the general direction, trying to find the cat before hearing a meow from a nearby alleyway. He followed the meow.

As he moved closer to where the meow had come from he had started hearing purring. He turned into the alleyway and looking forward he found something he didn't expect. In the alleyway was a purple haired boy sitting and petting the cat. He couldn't see he very well but he looked about his age. He then accidentally hit a pebble and the hit alerted the boy. The boy ripped his gaze off the cat turning straight to Izuku.

Izuku noticed the boy noticing him and gave a small wave. "Hello," Izuku greeted giving him a smile.

The boy seemed to relax a bit and gave a wave. Only then did Izuku realise the muzzle that had the boys mouth forcibly closed.

"Why are you wearing a muzzle!?" Izuku shrieked moving towards the purple haired boy.

The boy looked down before writing something on a piece of paper he had.
'They don't like me speaking. I have a villainous quirk'.

"That's ridiculous," Izuku started, gripping the boys hands. "A quirk doesn't make someone a villain, a persons choices do that. Now how about I take that off?" Izuku offered, pointing to the muzzle that covered the boys face. The Purple haired boy nodded with tear filled eyes.

Izuku slowly removed the muzzle from the boys face. Once it was off Izuku smiled warmly at the purple haired boy.

The boy went to speak, but he couldn't. He hadn't been able to speak for so long, he had forgotten how to speak. He chokes out a sob upon realisation. He clung to the green haired boy in front of him. Then Izuku seemed to realise what was going on.

"Can you not speak?" Izuku asked, while looking at the boy.

The boy looked up at him before shaking his head and bursting into tears.

"Hey it's ok, you probably haven't spoken in a while. We can work on that when we get home and your nice and warm. Ok?" Izuku suggested with a reassuring smile.

The boy gave a short nod. With confirmation Izuku got up from the floor and then helped the boy up. When they were up they heard a soft meow. Izuku turned to see the cat still in the alleyway with them.

Izuku gave a soft smile before speaking. "Do you want to come with us too?" Izuku asked.

The cat (to his surprise) seemed to understand and gave him very fast nods. Izuku giggles at the cat before picking him up.

Once Izuku had picked the tabby cat up he turned to the purple haired boy. "Do you want to hold him?" Izuku requested.

The boy looked at Izuku then at the small cat before nodding.
So now Izuku had a cat and a new family member.

"Do you know sign language?" Izuku asked the boy as they walked. Once the boy registered what Izuku said his eyes lit up.

'Yes. Do you?' The boy signed with hope filled eyes (the cat had crawled on his shoulders).

"Well I guess that settles it! We're talking in sign." Izuku gave a big smile.

The boy looked at Izuku like he just gave him the world.

"So what's your name?" Izuku asked seeing that he can somewhat talk now.

'H-I-T-O-S-H-I' he spelled out in sign. 'What's yours?' Hitoshi questioned.

"Izuku!" Izuku replied.

So on the way home Izuku talked while Hitoshi signed. Izuku had found out that he lived at an orphanage and they were the ones that put that muzzle on him. Izuku had gotten the name of the orphanage for reasons... Izuku had told Hitoshi that he would be staying with him, because how the treated him was not right! Izuku had promised Hitoshi he would never have to go back, and Izuku never breaks a promise.

They had finally made it home. Hitoshi had started to get nervous after Izuku told him there were others. They made their way in through the window of their home.

"Hey~" Izuku greeted. Everyone said a short 'hello' but were suspicious because of his tone. "Guess what? I got us a new family member!" Izuku then grabs Hitoshi and pushes him in front of him so everyone can see.

"He's sooo cute!" To-chan and MeiMei say at the same time after seeing the boy.

"I'm Toga! What's your name?" To-chan asks, smiling at their new family member.

"Oh, he doesn't talk. But Toshi she and everyone else here knows sign, you can sign." Izuku informs Hitoshi with a smile.

"Oh my God! I'm sorry I didn't know!" Toga frets, apologising to Hitoshi.

'It's okay. You couldn't have known unless Izuku told you.' Hitoshi signs, giving her a smile.

"Thank you! And welcome to the family!" Toga hugs Hitoshi, giving a big smile to him.

Hitoshi fit in just as easy as Kacchan. Soon they became very protective of him just like they did to Izuku. Especially after they found out about the way he was treated. After a week the orphanage mysteriously got shut down and the adults running the place were arrested. Izuku slowly worked with Toshi on his speech. He was slowly starting to speak again but still talked in sign a lot of the time. Toshi was happy. He had family.

A/N sorry this was kinda a bad chapter.
