The Odd Couple: How It All Began

Chapter 2

"Let's start at the car seat," said Matt.

"Ok," I replied.

They walked over to the car seat's and saw a grey
and white.

"Can we get this one babe," she asked.

"Yeah I like that," he said.

"We need a cart," I said.

"I'll get one," he said nicely.

He came back and Ashley and Matt walked over to the nursery area.

Ashley found a beautiful white wooden crib and Matt found a black wooden crib.

"I like this one,"Matt said.

"Look at this one," Ashley said.

"Oh I like that one," Matt said excitedly.

They purchased the white one for $199 not assembled.

Matt spotted a white wooden changing table that matched the crib.

They purchased that for $130. Not assembled yet.

They then found a two drawers night stand and purchased it for $31.

After that it was 5:25 so they checked out and loaded the stuff up in the Chevy Cruze.

Matt quickly drove across the street to Beau Rivere.

"Reservation for Matt and Ashley," he said politely.

"Yes right this way my name is Jordan. Can I start you off with drinks?" He asked.

"Pepsi please," I said nicely.

"Pepsi also," Matt said.

"Thank's I'll be right back with your drinks and your menu's," Jordan said politely.

"Excuse me," I said.

"Hey Jordan could you do me a favor and at 6o'clock tell my girlfriend to go outside I'm proposing to her," I said.

"Sure good luck," he said.

"I don't need luck she's pregnant," I said.

"Oh well never mind how old are you any way," he asked politely.

"Were both 17 I'm gonna be 18 in 2 months and she's gonna be 18 in 3 months," I said "we'll thanks."

"Miss me," Matt asked.

"Yeah," Ashley said.

"When is your doctor's appointment Ashley," Matt asked excitedly.

She explained to him that it is Wednesday and Jordan came back with drinks and menus.

Ashley ordered a chicken strip basket and Matt ordered a steak well done.

About a half an hour later Jordan came back and have us our food and ordered us to go outside.

Ashley was really confused while Jordan knew am exactly what was gonna happen.

All of a sudden fire works went off and Matt was on
One knee. He proposed.

"Will you marry me"

"Of course I will"

Matt took Ashley's hand and they walked back inside to finish their meals.

When's your first doctors appointment babe?

Wednesday wanna come?

Sure I wouldn't miss it for the world.

"How much money do you have?" Ashley asked.

$410with me and $710 in my savings account how about you.

$235with me and
$698 at home.

Well I'm gonna get I job so I can support my beautiful fiancé and our child.

I'm gonna get a part time job to until I'm to pregnant to work.

When should we get married Ash?

Before this child comes.

Should we get married and have a wedding or go to the courthouse.

I've always dreamed of having a real wedding so have a wedding.

"Alright we should go home I'll drive," said Matt.
