When we got home, I took off my jacket and my scarf. I decided to keep my hat on knowing that I'm not suppose to.
" Hey girl how you doin," my auntie said.
My auntie is the one who is taking care of us. She is richer then president Obama! She has smooth black skin with brown grayish hair. She retired from being a part of the government, she played a big role. Its a secret that never can be discovered.
" Why you look so gloomy girl! I want you to get dressed in your Jamie's now. Pronto!..... Take that hat off girl, you know better." Auntie continued.
" Yes auntie. Hey auntie, what's for dinner?" I replied
" Food!" She said sarcastically.
I smacked my lips and went up stairs to go change. I put on my gown and waited up stairs in till dinner was ready. While waiting, I stared at my parents in the picture.
" It is time to get over it. I must move on." I whispered to myself.
It was time to move on. It's been 3 years now.
When I was seven, there was a earthquake in Mississippi. Our house was just a small little one, not too shabby. During the earthquake, mama and papa lead me and my brother to safety.
" Its going to be all right little one. Your safe now!"
That's the last thing I heard from my father. After that speech I heard screams. My mother had been crushed by the houses surroundings and my father had shot himself in front of me and my brother. Blood was everywhere.
I can remember the tears that my brother and I shed. I can remember everything. The sirens, the destruction, my cry. I'm ten now. Feels like twenty. My brother is sixteen and auntie is old. Auntie and Burgly is the only family I got.
