"So, who's your tutor going to be?" asked Caitlin, my best friend.
"I don't know, they just told me I have to be in the Library after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays," I replied.
"Cheer's on Tuesdays," She replied, with an authoritative tone. She was Co-captain of the team, alongside me, and missing practice was not something she would be happy about.
"I know, Caitlin," I replied, slightly disappointed. "I just have to get my grade up and I'll come back,"
"Clare," Everyone called me Clare at school. Clara was too innocent and sweet. Clare was more of a popular girl name.
"I said I know, Caitlin. I'll get it up as fast as possible. You just have to run practice for the next few weeks," I said reassuringly.
"Fine," She resented, "But if our cheer team sucks at the competition, it's your fault," She joked.
I laughed, "Right, Caitlin. Well, I best get to tutoring,"
She nodded, "Kay, Clare. See ya!"
"Bye," I waved after her as she headed far down the opposite hall.
I turned, facing the doors to the library. "Nerds aren't evil or anything. They're like innocent little bunnies," I attempted to reassure myself.
Lie número uno.
