♫ I want you so bad
I think you ought to know that

Jacob's POV
The elevator zoomed past the second floor and opened up to the third. I kicked up my shoes with my other leg to pass some time in the meantime. I stepped out of the elevator to the main corridor of the floor. The student were hither and thither conversing with each other.
I started walking towards the staff room and the students wished me a good morning. I was too tired to say anything so I mouthed them a good morning. I made my way to the staff room and I placed my backpack on the table.
It was a usual Friday morning, the weekend was on the horizon and like usually, I had nothing to do during the weekend. I sighed, a deep sigh. I took out all of the non-essential things from my pack and put them in my desk.
I shrugged the feeling and sat on my chair.
I plugged off my headphones and placed them in my pack. I always wondered about the past. Specifically high-school, I was the 'school nerd,' but not the cool kind of nerd.
I was the kind that got bullied. I mean, I could always retaliate with some obscure pop-culture reference, and I usually did. None of them got it though.
Sometimes I think it was all my fault for being a nerd. I shrugged off the feeling.
But the weird thing is... I am actually liked by the students?! It's so weird. It's sort of like the warm and fuzzy feeling you get when a girl compliments you. It's unexplainable.
I quickly picked up my backpack and left for my classroom. On my way I encountered a familiar face being the centre of the attention for all the wrong reasons, Rosemary.
"Break it up, let's all be reasonable adults." I said half-heartedly while shooing the kids. It was the 5th time this month.
All the students started dispersing to their classrooms as I watched Rose still standing there, bowed, wiping her tears with her fingers.
"P-professor, I ca-an explain. It was-sn't m-my fault." She stuttered, still looking down, sobbing.
"You don't have to Rose. You didn't do anything wrong." I smiled at her. I continued "Don't worry. I'll report that to the headmaster after my first lecture." I passed her my handkerchief for her to wipe her tears.
"Come, let's go." I smiled again and patted her head.
After the little walk and talk, we finally made it to the classroom. We entered the class and Rose took her seat.
"Now before this lecture of music history starts, I would like to request you all something. Please, stop picking on your classmates. You are no longer in high-school anymore-" I pushed back my glasses while opening up my textbook.
The class was engulfed in a serious atmosphere. I, being playful as every continued with a joke. "-trying to remember the locker combinations."
The class chuckled lowly, still a bit serious.
I had to remind them I was still the same teacher. I was always terrified that if I stop being friendly and start getting strict, they'll no longer like me.
The rest of the day went in the blink of an eye. Nothing too memorable or forgetful happened. I made my way back to the staff room after a day of good work. I plopped myself in the chair. I scanned my desk for all the items I had placed there and put them inside my bag.
