A night that once started with everyone being aware, everyone having an inkling of what was to come. But of the reason why they came also is the reason why that in only minutes all would be forgotten.
The school doors of Beacon High slammed shut as stiles ran out. the night was cold as if the world could sense what was coming, leaves bristling through the midnight air claiming for some escape from the draught world. footsteps heard trampling towards him, only to turn to see his love, the one he would protect through everything, Lydia.
"Stiles.." as Lydia came to a sudden stop reaching out for one delicate touch of the boy she refuses to admit she has finally fallen for.
"Lydia, you know me? oh thank god you know me" Stiles breathed in sudden relief, finally knowing that someone could remember him. After all isn't that everyone's greatest fear, being unremembered from the world.
"I know you. But I think everyone else is forgetting" as it finally starts to sink in what is going on, leaves start to crunch all around them. As Stiles looks up he finally sees what he's been dreading ever since he saw the riders those mere nights ago. As only a few meters away stood a horse black as night with its rider sitting atop.
"Hey, do you see him?!" Stiles turns back to where the ghost rider as Lydia turns to see what he's looking at but only sees the empty parking area.
Lydia looks back at Stiles frightened and confused, not wanting to believe that he's actually seeing the thing that can take him away "see what?"
"guy on the horse?" he looked at her hopelessly hoping he wasn't going mad. But then again would that be something to be afraid of when the wild hunt was trying to steal you away, to ride the storm for the rest of your existence. With only your body as the remains of who you used to be.
"stiles if you can see them, then there gonna" stiles places his hands on Lydia's shoulder forcing her to look up into his brown eyes, looking at him for one of the final times before she loses all memory of him.
"no, I know, I know. kay there coming for me, so you have to get away from me right now."
Lydia looked at him desperately, begging him with her eyes to stay with him, passing through all the emotions she's to afraid to say out loud "I'm not leaving you"
"oh.. kay come on, come on..." Stiles reaches for Lydia's hand as he pulls her behind him trying to find a path though the lighting storm that follows him. Trying to find away to escape. "This way, this way" everywhere he looked more and more horses from the wild hunt were dawning upon them, surrounding them to take Stiles away and add him to their ranks of soulless bodies.
"woah woah woah"
Looking around there was barley any time to escape, the wind howling around them as if they were back with their pack when everything was normal. But this wasn't then. The pack had already forgotten and soon so would everyone else and Stiles would become all but a distant memory. "okay, this way, this way" breathlessly he dragged Lydia after him trying to find a way out.
Switching her head back and forth Lydia tried to see who was coming after Stiles, wondering how much time was left before they took him out of her clutches. "where are they?!"
"there everywhere" as they came to a stop, Stiles noticed how more of them had arrived and knowing how he got a score on his head, looked to Lydia praying they wouldn't take her to.
Turing to move again Stiles found Roscoe in the parking lot and beelined towards it. "Right come on, come on. Lydia don't look at them, don't try to scream they'll take you to. Do not look at them."
