(Sorry guys/gals but the cover for this chapter will be out a little later.)
Gabriel woke up with a small bit of a headache after that night. He took a moment to communicate to his surroundings. A second later and he realized that he was sleeping on top of someone. He looked down to see Lauren asleep below him. His mind started racing. Gabriel slowly started moving towards the edge. As he did so, Lauren started stirring. Gabriel cursed under his breath and immediately rushed out of the room. He turned back to see that Lauren wasn't awake yet. He sighed and went to the kitchen to cook his breakfast.
~~~
Minutes passed and Lauren had already woken up. "Good morning, Lauren." Gabriel smiled. "Good morning, Gab." Lauren greeted back. "Did you have a nice sleep?" Gabriel asked. Lauren nodded and thanked him. "I think I should be going now. Kyung Yon and Raph might be worried." Lauren said as he took a new pair of clothing out his bag. "Well, at least stay for some breakfast. I made pancakes." Gabriel said as he whirled a spatula beside his head. Lauren replied with a simple "Alright." as he entered the bedroom to change once again. Gabriel set the plates on the table and removed his apron. A minute later and Lauren has returned. He was wearing a navy blue turtle neck, a grey jacket, and black ripped jeans. Lauren took a sit at the table and took the fork. He took a bite from the pancake and he hummed in delight. "These are pretty amazing. How did you learn how to cook so well?" He asked. "My mom taught me how to cook! She's an amazing baker and cook. But sadly both my parents are at Canada. They decided to visit my cousins and I couldn't go with them since we still have school." Gabriel said. "How about you? Where are your parents?" He asked. Lauren paused. "My parents? They're gone" he stuttered. "Oh I am so very sorry for your loss." Gabriel said as he frowned. There was a long pause until Gabriel spoke up. "Is it fine if I ask how they died?" He asked. Lauren was silent for awhile until he said,
"I will never forget that night. The night when life was forced out of my parents' body. It was a Sunday night and my parents and I were just about to go home from a quick trip to the grocery store. We were on our way home when my father was shot dead infront of our eyes. My mother screamed and she held me tight, she told me to run and hide. I was too scared to move. I was a coward. The murderer caught up and they stabbed my mother at her back. I could still remember her last words" 'Lauren. Oh, my sweet hijo. Remember that mamá and papi will always love you. Now go, correr y esconderse.' "Then she took her last breath. I was mortified. I ran but the murderer went after me. There was no doubt that they were a male. I manage to run as fast I could so he couldn't keep up, but he shot my feet. I tripped and hit my eye on a rock and it bled. Everything was hurting more everytime I moved. But he got so close. I ran even more even though I was no longer that fast, I got away. I hid far from him. Once I made sure he lost me, I returned back to where the corpse of my dear parents were. Their dead cold eyes pierced right through my soul. My chest ached, my feet ached, and my left eye was left blind. I fell on to my knees and wept. I lost what was left of my close family. An hour is so passed and I got up from the hard cement floor. I had no place to go so I wandered aimlessly until I stumbled upon my classmate's house. That's when I met Sarah and her family. Till now, my feet still hurts but I delt with it. I have a high pain tolerance so it was a bit easy for me to ignore it. Sarah and I got closer everyday. Until the cops came for me. They took me to my aunt an uncle. I felt worthless. I was truamatized. When I arrived at their home, I I almost committed suicide. But I told myself that there was more to this. That this was just a challenge and life will get better. But because of the incident, my reputation in school got lower. My attitude was different. I was almost expelled out of school. But I was thankful I wasn't. Within the next grade, I decided to put my reputation back up. Get better marks, help people, and more. And here I am now. The once trouble maker that is now the president of the school. Sometimes I wonder if I even deserved this role." Lauren said as he ran out of breath. Gabriel was silent. Lauren held in the tears as to not show his weakness. Lauren got up and took his bag. "I'm sorry but I need to go." He said as he rushed out of the house leaving Gabriel alone.
"I'm home!" Lauren yelled as he locked the front door. "Hyung! You're back home! What happened?" Kyung said as he hugged Lauren. "Well, a storm dropped in last night and I had no choice but to stay with my friend." Lauren said as he hugged back. "You mean 'boyfriend', right?" Kyung said with a playful smirk. "Yonnie, I just got out of a relationship. I should be giving myself sometime before getting into one again." Lauren said as he let go. "You're no fun. Guess you really did change." Kyung pouted as he too let go. Raph entered the living room with three cups filled with soda. "Why don't we all hangout in 'Neverland' to now?" He said as he gave the drinks to the two boys. "Come on 'Peter Pan'! Let's go!" Kyung said as he jerked Lauren's shoulder. Lauren let out a chuckle and nodded. Soon, the three boys exited the apartment towards a small quiet forest.
