4 years later..
The young girl bounces down the stairs, her silvery hair sparkling in the new brilliant lights.
Her smile beamed as she walked toward her adoptive father. "Hi daddy!"
The man looks down at the small child and smiles. "Well hello down there," He chuckles. "Are you excited for your first day at school?"
She giggles, "More than anything!"
His eyes scan her up and down, when they stop on her hair and big eyes. He bites his lip. "Honey I have something to tell you."
"What is it?" Her deep magenta eyes show curiosity, her smile lingering on her delicate face.
He pauses, rubbing his freshly shaven face. "Sakura, you know how your eyes are pink, and your hair is silver?"
She nods slowly.
He clears his throat, as if thinking of how to explain this. "Saki that isn't exactly normal." He pauses, "And we don't want anyone to know..what you are, so we have to do something."
"W..what is it?" She asks hesitantly. The man looks down. "Follow me."
They walk upstairs and her father pulls out dark brown hair dye. He explains to her what it is, and she reluctantly agrees. He helps put it in, trying to look confident. Her mother had used this exact hair dye. Afterwards, he taught her how to change her eye color. Back before all the drama, Sakura's mother had told him how she did it, in case of an emergency. He was so grateful she did.
Giving his daughter a big hug, the little girl went off to school.

She arrived at her new school with a pep in her step. She was extremely excited, her first day of kindergarten! She never got to socialize with other people very often, but whenever she did it was fun! She walked into the old classroom, as the fragrance of pine and cinnamon filled her nose. Her smile brightened as she saw a little girl about her age, sitting by herself. Her hair was a light blonde, pulled up into small pigtails. Her hazel eyes showed an unmistakable kindness. Sakura walked over to her and sat down. The young girl glanced over at her, she looked surprised.
Sakura knew that she would be the first to talk, "Hi there! My name is Sakura, what's your name?"
She smiled softly at her sudden tenderness. "My name is Lola," she says faintly.
Sakura's face brightens as the new teacher walks in. What a step up from homeschooling!
As they go through all the things they'll be learning that year, so they know what to expect, most of the kids looked either mesmerized, horrified, or confused. Sakura looked at everyone in her class, then looked at her teacher.
"Uhm, I already know how to do all that," Sakura says with her hand up.
The teacher looks down at her. "What makes you say that?"
Sakura looks down, slightly embarrassed, "My daddy says I'll learn multiplication."
The teacher looks confused. "Multiplication?" Sakura nods. The teacher sighs and rubs her temples. "We don't learn that until 3rd or 4th grade."
Sakura nods slowly as if she understands. "But I already know how to do this stuff."
The teacher scans the class and takes Sakura out of the room, stopping in the doorway. "Everyone behave, Lola?" she looks up, "I need you to watch them." She nods silently.
