Changbin

Where you met- Online, and dating online for 9 months

Changbin had been your boyfriend for 9 months and he was visiting you from South Korea for 10 days. Last night was the first time you ever got to see him in person.

He was staying at your house and once you were both ready later that day, you decided to head out to show him around.

Changbin is a big fan of music and producing so you took him to the music history museum in the city. He would say "whoa!" at everything in the glass cases. He had such a childlike wonder about him.

"This is incredible, Y/n!" he exclaimed. "Thank you for bringing me here!"

At the end of the exhibit there was a microphone on a stage for museum guests to interact with and take pictures. Changbin shyly walked up to the mic and turned into a dragon spitting fire! You'd heard him rap in Korean before but this was the first time in person and it was intense!

This drew a crowd with the patrons. The employees also took part in watching. You were smiling ear to ear. There were chills anytime he would make eye contact with you, which was constant.

Everyone clapped and surrounded him as he got off the stage. He smiled. People had so many questions. After he finished taking his time with everyone he grabbed your hand, gave you a kiss and you both walked to the exit.

"Excuse me?" an employee asked as Changbin opened the door. You both turn to look. "I couldn't help but notice the show you just put on. I'm Christopher Bang, the Museum Director here." And he began to talk about how impressed he was and how he was looking for people to collaborate with for a music project he was working on. They talked for a long time and exchanged numbers before parting ways. You could both tell how Chris was so genuine and passionate about this. And you could tell Changbin was happy about this possible endeavor.

"This could mean I'd be here a lot and have steady income" Changbin said as you got to the parking lot. "And then be here for good," he added as he kissed your forehead. "I love you so much and am so excited to see where all this goes." You had agreed before that he would likely eventually make the big move to your country. This could possibly expedite things! You knew he was The One.

This first date went to really interesting places. And the next stop was for him to meet your parents in person. They were skeptical at first but really grew to love your relationship.

Epilogue

Time went by so fast. He was packing up his suitcase to leave. You knew this time would come.

He managed to spend a little more time talking with Chris ironing out some details over the last week. He would return in 2 months for some writing and recording and of course to see you! Two months seemed like an eternity away.

Your family was at your house and going with you to see him off at the airport. Changbin said he needed to talk to you real quick. His tone was serious and it scared you a little bit. He took your hand and you went back to your bedroom.

It was then he got down on one knee. "Y/n, will you marry me?"

Just as you answer "yes" your whole family pours in snapping pictures. He told them ahead of time but this was a total surprise to you. With both of your hands shaking, he stood and picked you up while everyone cheered and clapped.

Dropping him off at his terminal was the hardest thing ever. You wanted to climb the security barrier and hold him until he boarded.

You cried the whole way home, looking at all the photos you'd taken during his time here.

When you got home you went straight to your bedroom. On your bed, Changbin left you his favorite toy, a Munchlax Pokemon plush he called "Gyu". This was something you knew he had since childhood and he couldn't sleep without it, even in his adult years. There was a note attached that said "I can live without Gyu, but I can't live without you. Keep him safe and I'll see you soon. I love you."
