Roderick POV:
"Wassup witchu ma, you been a lil off these past few days, I need to rough somebody up don't I?"
"Nah I-I'm okay." She stuttered.
"I can tell somethins wrong ma."
"It-it's nothin okay just drop it, please i can't talk about it."
"Iight, coo."I said giving up. I new there was somethin wrong and she had basically just told me too, I just decided to let it go for the sake of our conversation.
I'ain wanna make her angry or have her feelin bad so I just changed the subject.
"Soooo, how bout this date, tonight maybe?" I said hesitantly as I rubbed my hands together nervously.
Damn this girl really had a real nigga feelin some type'a way, had a nigga feelin nervous and shit.
I stared down at the side of her face as I waited for her response.
Laeci POV:
"Maybe some other time, i'ight I just got a lot hanging over my head right now."
I new I should probably accept his offer, I could at least get away from the house for a while, I just wasn't in the mood.
So many scenarios were rushin through my mind.
should I tell someone. Should I run away. I can't run from this? What about Alana them? What am I gonna do? What if he does it again?
These were the only thoughts that ran through my head at that moment.
I could hear the concern in his voice as he continued to question me,
"Is it me, did I do something wrong?"
"No, I just don't wanna talk about it."
Roderick POV:
I dropped her and Alana off.
"I'll call you, i'ight?"
"I'ight." She responded with a half smile as she hopped down out of the seat and closed the door.
I watched her as she walked into her buildin.
I hated seein her this way, I just wanted to know what was goin on.
I went home and hopped in the shower.
I was tryin to pass time because I ain't wanna call her too early cause maybe she was still busy or upset.
I got out of the shower and threw on some gym shorts and a white tee shirt, I hung around the house for a few hours until I felt myself gettin hungry.
I grabbed my phone and my keys and headed out the door.
It was around six thirty so I decided to call Laeci.
I dialed in her number and let it ring for a few moments.
Laeci POV:
For the past few days I've been on high alert, I can't even sleep.
I've just kept Alaya or Maceyon around because I know he won't try anything with one of them there.
Same for Alana, I haven't told her yet but I make one of the kids sleep in her room every night.
I can't just move into her room because I don't want her to know something's wrong.
I've always been the type that just needs their own space, this room was mine.
