Rachel's pov:
I was at the bar drinking a beer when Stefan came and sat next to me .
"I don't need a babysitter Stefan." I said
"I know , I just wanted to make sure you were okay." He told me
"I'm fine ." I said
"That's a big fat lie." He said taking a sip of his beer
"What do you want me to say Stefan? I've avoided him for almost 100 plus years now. And suddenly I'm back in the same house with him and the memories of that night keep flooding in." I told him
"I know he hurt you Rachel . Damon isn't that way though anymore . He's changed , he's a better person now than he was back then ." He told me
"It's doesn't change what he did though. I was going to be a mother , I had a husband who loved me . I was finally happy and then he ...."
"I know , I know ." He said
"How can you live with him , after everything he's done ?" I asked him
"Like I said , Damon's not the same as he was 100 plus years ago . Sure he can be an ass but he's my brother , our brother ." He told me
"He's not my brother though Stefan, and I'm not the naïve little girl you once knew . I've changed too." I said
"But you're still my sister Rach, and as much as you hate Damon he's still your brother too." He told me
I finished my beer and said ,
"So , Elena , do you love her?" I said changing the topic
He smirked and said ,
"I care about her , yes . But her heart belongs to Damon and his heart belongs to her ." He said
"So then , you don't have anyone ?"
"I have Caroline , she's a good girl." He said
"Well I'm happy for you bro." I said
"What about you ? Has anyone been able to break into your life ?" He asked me
"There's only one man who will have my heart forever Stefan, and he's dead." I said
He looked down and said ,
"Look maybe you should try and...."
"I have , physically I moved on from it but no one can compare to him ." I said
"Rach..."
"I should go Stefan , we got a lot of work to do tomorrow ." And I got up and left
I was on my way home when suddenly I got a really bad feeling in my gut . I kept walking when I thought I heard something .
"Damon , I swear to god if you're messing with me I'll break your neck again ." I said
"Relax Rachel , it's just me." A familiar voice said
I turned around and said ,
"Katherine ."
