did you hear about river?

chapter 2

hey guys, you hear that?" I say quietly.

"yep and I think it's coming from outside. I was just about to take my medicine but now i'm more concerned on that." rory says.

"I think river should go and check it out. I would go myself but i'm not really the one who'll offer any good advice or stuff like that. i know rory is the same." she says.

rory gets up and opens the screen door. she walks out and looks out before turning around and walking back in.

"there's a crying girl surrounded by stuff. we need to help her. river grab your phone and we'll stay on the line with you and her, you be quiet and go and help her. we'll offer advice." I jump up and do as she says, grabbing my slip on vans and putting them on. I get my phone and keys for the dorm.

I go to the front door and sigh when I see that when I go to turn off the security system, it wasn't on in the first place.

I unlock the door with my key and sign out so that the system knows it's me when I reopen the door with my key.

we were only required to do this after 9:00, we could still leave campus but had to make the university aware.

I call aurora and immediately ask her a question I probably should have when I hadn't left.

"where is she?" I ask running past all the forms and going to the stairs before going down and running around to were out balconies are.

or maybe not, I think I had already gotten lost.

"she's directly outside our balcony." mia says.

"i'm lost." I admit.

"yes, we can, uhhhhh, see that. you've somehow made it to the other side of the garden. turn around. yes like that. and walk to the tree." I do as she says.

"now turn right and you'll see her." I do as she says and I see her alright.

I run up to her and go to wave to rory and mia when I see that finneas and elijah are on their balcony and I decide against it.

they shout at the girl.

"shut up." rude. I flip them off and mia ushers rory back inside as she lifts up the privacy screen and throws a chair at them.

she hits elijah in the head and he throws it back at her and she catches it.

I don't know how I can see this.

I just recognise elijah's beautiful hair as it glows under the light of the balcony which i'm guessing they finally found the switch for.

she puts the blind back down, gets rory back in and speaks to me again.

"say something to her." she prompts and I remember the girl.

"oh yeah!" I sit down opposite the girl who seems to be crying even harder.

"hi! what's your name- actually you might not want to answer that, oh well! let me introduce myself. my name is river bassaux, twin sister of a finneas bassaux and friend of mia-luna romano and my other roommates name is rory montgomery and her name is not to be mentioned in our dorm because she doesn't like the tall guy in our form. I think they have a past of some sort." I hear muffled agreement from rory.
