chapter 3

we hear grass crunching and the voices but familiar voices.

the boys.

rory gets up and presses the lock door option just in time.

they knock on the door.

"hello, anyone there?" I hear finneas say. "I saw you girls come in here."

"yeah unfortunately we can't open up, there's no one on active duty. legally we can't open the door." that was the best lie I'd ever heard. brea lies good.

"you guys can't give us this bullshit, you're acting like weak pussies. all you do is be rude, smoke and drink for no reason. no one cares if you're depressed, just get over it." I watch as rorys hand smashes against the unlock panel and she launches herself over the desk.

mia and brea have to hold her back as she goes for kingsley, fully prepared to hit him, attack him.

"you alright kingsley? it's been a while hasn't it? it's been a while since I gave up trying to forgive you and since then it's been a constant wish for forgiveness but you're still as vile as you were back then. I feel ashamed to know you, feel ashamed to know that I have to raise children with you. Trace and Francis deserve a father who's understanding about mental health because right now you're really no that much better than Ricky or Regina in terms of being a father and I hope that maybe you'll grow up one day." she's breathing hard and I know it's a result of her IED.

"who are you?" kingsley says, embarrassed.

"i'm going to throttle you!" rory says taking another run at him.

"are you another depressed bi-" he doesn't get to complete his sentence because I click the lock button and the doors shut before the argument can go on.

rory goes back to the desk, a lot weaker than before.

"i'm calling the dean, this is so ridiculous. tilly needs to rest somewhere proper." she says as she picks up the phone and clicks the deans extension.

the phone rings for a while when a woman answers the phone.

"this is the dean, I sure do hope you're calling for a damn good reason." she says. the dean was a bright woman who helped bring positivity to the college.

"hi, my name is aurora montgomery. tilly bennett down in the inquiries office has been working for 36 hours straight and no one has
come down to replace her! we've checked the phone logs and she's called HR about 25 times and she's only got through once and they've hung up on her! I don't think this is a good thing for the university to be showing to the students. we've now put tilly to sleep because she might've passed our from exhaustion. we would like the room she's staying in please." rory says.

"thank you for calling aurora, it's amazing to have someone like you in my school, is there anyone there with you?" she asks.

"mia-luna romano, river bassaux and brea o'reilly." she says.

"could you guys try and get her to her room, I can't get through to security because there's been a fire in dorm building A and their efforts are there and I feel like there's no point in me coming because my room is about a 20 minute walk from ms. bennett's office." she says.
