Chapter 17 - A Song We Write Together

Now that Hibiki was mostly back to normal, they had a live show to plan! The girls spent a good hour beginning to plan everything out but they realized they needed more time to plan, especially when it came to writing Hanabi's new song. Since she wasn't too skilled with writing lyrics, she wanted Hibiki to help her. Hibiki did write their first song as well. The girls all loved Hanabi's song based off the lyrics they heard and the catchy beat behind it. It was time for another songwriting session, wasn't it?

Hibiki: Hanabi! I can't stop listening to the sample of your song! It's so groovy, I love it!!

Hanabi: I'm glad you think so~! *blush*

Akari: so where are we going to finish the song?

Hibiki: my house! Duh!! *gasp* we should make it a sleepover! I haven't had one in years!

Kanae: a sleepover? Why does it have to be a sleepover? I don't like sleepovers that much...

Hibiki: how can you not love sleepovers?! They're the best!

Kanae: it's because I'm never able to fall asleep... I get too anxious

Hibiki: huh... oh yeah... I remember now! That's why my mom wouldn't let me have sleepovers with you anymore!

Kanae: shut up!

Tsubasa: Hibiki, Kanae, calm down. If we have a sleepover, not everyone has to stay, right?

Hibiki: well I was kinda hoping we all could hang out together, since I left you guys alone for a few weeks.

Kiri: I want to be with everyone too! Come on Tsubasaaaaaaa!!

Tsubasa: I never said I wasn't going! I'm in~!

Akari: ooh ooh! Me too! Me too!

Hanabi: okay~! Let's all meet at Hibiki's place for a sleepover!

Everyone: YAAAAAY!

After a short amount of time grabbing some stuff from home, everyone met up at Hibiki's house.

Mrs. Ayase: hello girls!! Nice to see you all! I bought snacks for you guys once Hibiki told me you were coming over!

Hanabi: ahhh thank you Mama Ayase!

Mrs. Ayase: *laughs* you can just call me Reika!! Anyways, it's been a while since you've been together at the house! I'm glad things worked out!

Akari: yeah, me too~!

Hibiki: come on you guys! Hurry upstairs! This song isn't going to write itself!!

Kiri: I suppose you're right... but I like talking with your family! Your family is all so cute!

Hibiki: you can always talk with them later! I'm super anxious to finish this song!!

Tsubasa: looks like we're going upstairs then~

The girls all crowded around the desk Hibiki set out in the middle of the room. Hanabi put down her notebook with the lyrics, and Hibiki put all the snacks out on top of them.

Kanae: so, where do we start the song?

Hanabi: well I was thinking since we already have a chorus, we just need to work on all the parts in between right? It shouldn't be too hard!

Hibiki: I love that enthusiasm~!

Tsubasa: based on the part we already heard, maybe the song should be about unity and being together? I get that sort of feeling from what we have so far
