Chapter 10 : In the forest

Maya's pov
I am in the forest, all i can see is darkness and i was left alone by the nox, i tried to get up and run for my life but my body didn't helped.

My body was paining like hell, Grabbing courage i stood up and ran for life, dragging my leg on which i felt immense pain and i can feel like my blood 🩸 is oozing out my leg but i don't know where to go, what to do, only i can see is darkness around me.

My almost body is coated with forest's soil, it's like i have been here for a long hour, the time was passing and i can see the darkness is not that dense now, i am able to see now. I moved forward, chill ran down my spine after what i saw. I saw a skull 💀 with bones 🦴 around it half-burried in soil.

I stepped backward in fear and managed to run from that place with my wounded leg, after a struggle i reached home, its morning now.

Kathy and Jessica is still asleep in their rooms, without disturbing them i walked to my room and took a shower 🚿. My wound is paining, i don't know how i got hurt, its like someone stabbed on my leg with some sharp and pointed object. Its 6am.

"Oh god, how this happened?",Kathy asked. I can see her worried face. "Tell me everything", she added holding my hand.

I hugged her and started crying. She dressed my wound while i was telling her everything and cried. Jessica entered and listened to me quitely and she also looked worried about me.

I took some painkillers and got ready for the office, she insisted that i should take rest, but this will kill me if i stay here for some more time, i am suffocating here. She assured if i am okay and had our breakfast.

A message popped up on my phone, it was Aman, asking me if we are ready, yes and waiting for you, thank you, i replied. Within minutes he arrived and we headed to our office.

Aman's pov
I noticed Maya's wound, i am worried about her, at first i saw her, she use to speak with her eyes too, but now she is silent, i want to know what happened to her and i will ask her whenever i got chance.

Maya's pov
"Hey", Aman waived coming towards me.
"Hi", i fake smiled at him, he was looking so handsome in his formals, i continued to smile and staring at him.
"Can we have lunch together", he asked.
"Yes, sure I would love to",i said.
I forgot all what was running in my mind, when we started talking, we talked a lot about each other and then finally, he asked about what is bothering me, I hesitated at first, but then i told him everything. He comforted me. Told me that he is just one call away, whenever i need him, i nodded and headed back to our desks to complete our office works.
