Gray and Natsu had known each other since before they could remember. Their parents were friends so when their moms found out they were pregnant at around the same time they were so happy. They had planned everything together. Even the names once they found out they were having boys! Gray and Natsu, the perfect names for their perfect boys. When Gray's mother went into labor, Natsu's parents were right in the waiting room with the Fullbuster family. They were called in a couple of hours later and they met Gray for the first time. He had the signature black Fullbuster hair, and when he opened his little eyes they were a beautiful shade of dark blue so dark it was almost black.
A couple of months later it was Natsu's turn to be born. As the Dragneel's were there for the birth of Gray, the Fullbuster's were there for the birth of Natsu. They were called in about three hours after they arrived to meet Natsu. He got his mother's salmon pink colored hair. His eyes were a green so dark they looked black. They were so happy to have their boys to love. They were sitting talking about memories of the boys while they played with each other. They were now five years old and they could already tell they were going to be close when the were older. They felt the ground shake as screams began. They look outside and panic as the see a huge figure destroying things. They grab their boys and shelter them with their bodies as the house they were in was destroyed. Natsu's mom's heart was stabbed through with a beam of wood instantly killing her, while Gray's was killed by something falling on her head, instantly killing her. The two boys climbed out from under their mothers. When they saw them they started to cry. Gray clung to his mother's waist in a final hug as he said "I'll miss you mommy."
Natsu grabbed his mother's hand, as he took her wedding ring and the ring he and his dad got her for her birthday that year and put them on a chain he always wore. Gray did a similar thing, he took her wedding ring and a bracelet he got her with his dad as a present for her birthday last week and put the ring on the bracelet since it was a little chain with a snowflake pendant and a little gem. They get up and go outside and see damage everywhere. They find their fathers in the town square and did the same process with their wedding rings as they did their mom's. They heard flapping and quickly hid under a produce booth. They saw eight clawed feet on the ground and then two tails. They heard a voice say "little ones? It's okay we're not gonna hurt you can you tell us where you are?" Natsu made a little whimper and they heard gentle steps coming their way. They heard a males voice say "little ones, can you come out?"
Natsu gripped Grays hand as he said "who are you?"
They saw two heads lower to the floor and gasped: these were dragons!
"I'm Igneel the fire dragon, and this is Ur the ice dragon. What are your names?"
Gray swallowed and replied with "I'm Gray and this is Natsu."
The dragons kept talking to them and eventually they got them to leave their hiding place. What they saw was a red dragon with orange horns who was huge! They knew it was Igneel. Then they saw a smaller but still large dragon that was a pale blue everywhere except the membranes of her wings, which were an ice blue. "I can sense a strong magical powers in you two. Would you like to come with us? We would be kind of like adoptive parents, and we'll teach you how to use magic."
The two boys looked at each other before turning to the dragons and agreeing to go with them. They were told to climb on to Igneel's back and once they did they started to fly. They eventually got to a cave in a place that was really snowy but the boys didn't care. They were carried inside to a large room like place there Ur quickly made a soft spot with leaves and soft miss big enough for the two boys. They laid down and Igneel and Ur wrapped around them as Ur's gentle voice said "sleep hatchlings, tomorrow your training begins."
The boys quickly fell asleep as Igneel raised his temperature so the boys were nice and warm.
