*Paris PoV*

I watched in horror as I watch Ceza kneeling smack in the middle of the training ground, bloody. My heart sunk to my chest. She was clutching the sides of her body, blood flowing freely from the spaces between her fingers. I ran as fast as I could, and nearing her I knelt, instantly sliding on the rough pavement before reaching her, catching her tumbling body just seconds before hitting the pavement.

"Lucrezia !" Lucien screamed from behind me. I clutched her limp body, enveloping it in mine. I watched her star pendant disappear as she threw it on the pavement, and a thin layer of ice became her second skin, slowly covering her. Her blood-red irises fixed on me, and I watch as they slowly change color from red to black, and their opacity thinning and thinning before reaching their original steel grey colour.

Then her eyelids shutdown altogether, ice crept over them and closing. I can sense her consciousness left her, and through Promiscuity I felt Charm throbbing inside, furious. Promiscuity was enraged. His soulmate had been trapped inside Ceza's body, weakening by each minute passing. I tried to kiss her to recharge her. But the ice blocked my lips to hers. I breathed on it, hoping my warm breath would melt the ice. But this was no ordinary ice. It's celestial ice. I saw it once. Ceza made a dagger out of the celestial ice and shot it to Galen, the Keeper of Hope when he first killed Baden, the Keeper of Distrust. Baden was our comrade, one who Ceza was very close to. Ironically, Ceza was very close to Galen, too. Both of them hosted the most undemonly demons, Hope and Charm. It had hurt Galen tremendously, and now the ice is covering her. It has power from Poseidon himself.

I tried raising her legs. It was not stiff, like I had expected. The ice was not frozen, merely her second skin, making the blood stuck between her skin and the ice. Then I felt presence around me. I stood up, wrapping Ceza in my hands, passed out. I used my body to shift the crowd open.

"Paris,..." Sabin's voice started. I ignored him.

Then Strider walked over to me, trying to help Ceza. I sent him backwards with a look.

"Don't bother," I said, figuratively feeling the cold of Ceza's ice seeping into my voice.

"Look at her !" Sabin exclaimed.

"And it's because of who ?!" I shouted at them. All of them. Including Kaia and Gwen, who was standing a bit far away from us, in their normal human forms. No one answered.

"Keep your mates in reins before you even start to think about helping her !" I shouted to all of them.

I carry her swiftly to my room, then ran out to the infirmary to get all the medical aid I could gather to bring back to my room. I tried everything to melt the ice off her, so I could at least kiss her to recharge. Or heal her. After all, Helios Apollo is the healer God. But even after everything I tried, the ice sealed her. I screamed in frustration.

Then the door opened and people streamed into the room. Everyone must've been outside the door, waiting. Now they can all see for themselves the ice that concealed Ceza.

"What is that ?" Lucien asked.

"It must be one of her new powers. She has covered herself in ice to induce hypothermia and slow her heart rate down just enough to keep her alive," I said to him.

Lucien strode over to Ceza. He was amazed at the celestial ice, but he reached out to check her pulse.

"Barely alive. And I have a feeling her pulse is slowing down to stopping altogether. Since the moment she's wrapped in the celestial ice, she no longer controls it. We all know Poseidon does, but who knows even how much ? Poseidon has been banished like the rest of the Olympian Gods, only Cronus knows where," Lucien said.
