"My dear,

I didn't realise how much you loved me. I just left you without any explanation. I saw you with your best friend sitting on the same couch in your living room. You were both laughing and my jealousy made me a monster. I thought you were in love with her and not with me. I got blind; I got crazy. I packed everything and went back to where I came from. I left you just like that... I can't imagine how sad you must have been since I disappeared. But you would have deserved so much better than that. I know I disappointed you it the worst way possible and you will probably never forget what I have done to you. I can't ask you to forgive me, because I don't deserve that, but I apologize from the bottom of my heart. I am so so sorry for everything. I still love you the same way, my feelings didn't change at all. I couldn't get you out of my mind. However, nothing I say or do will change the fact that I didn't trust you at all. It won't change the fact that I left you broken hearted. If you hate me, it is what I deserve.
I know it is probably too late for me to come back... It has been two years since we have seen each other. I have just found that I was wrong about you. I hope you will reply to this, but if you decide to burn this letter or to throw it away, I will understand. It is all my fault and I should expect nothing from you.

Best regards,
Alison"

As she was trying to push the envelope into the mailbox, Alison noticed a big object was blocking the hole through which the letter was to enter. She managed to open the little door. As she was looking towards the box, Alison read out loud:

-From Johanna Walsh... I bet he's already seeing someone else. What am I doing here?! I will probably ruin his life once again with this...

She just closed back the mail box, without indroducing the envelope she was planning to give him.

From Alison's perspective

What am I doing? I have come only to destroy his life once again. That Johanna must live the best live with him because I was such a naïve woman. I should have not come to his house that night to make him a surprise. I ruined everything we had just because I didn't want to listen to him. I should have stalked him for a while to convince myself that I am crazy. Now what? I came to pay him a visit after two years in which we didn't talk at all. Like: "Hey! What's up? Wanna hang out after ghosting you for so long? You can bring your girlfriend, we will have so much fun while you explain her why I am here and what I have done to you."
I am completely out of my mind to think that he still feels anything for me other than hate or anger.

After fantasizing for a few minutes, I realised that I have work to do. My friend asked me to help her carry some boxes around her house and give her a hand in unpacking and putting everything in place.
I grabbed my car keys and I hopped in, driving to Rebbeca's house.

-Alison! What took you so long?!
-Well... ugh... I went to the gas station.
Little does she know I was at his house.
-Now come here,  give me a hand with these boxes. Get these ones inside. And she ponted five of them.
As I was carrying each one of them she asks me:
-You went to his house, didn't you?
-I...
-No way! You have to be kidding me! What did I say about going...
-Becca, please, calm down. He didn't see me. I wanted to leave him a note, but then I changed my mind.
-Ali... you know I love you, but how can you be so stupid, eh?! Why would you leave him a note?
-You know... I realised I was wrong about him, and...
-And you still love him, don't you? Guess what, he's not single anymore. Did you expect him to wait for you? He thought you were never going to see him again.
-I know... and I'm sorry.
-Girl, you do you, but I feel that this is not going to end well. So you better stay away from him.

And then I just sadly nodded and continued to arrange stuff inside her house. After a while, we finally finished so Becca decided to take me to our favorite coffee shop to bring some of the "good old days" vibes from when we were roommates in college.
We had a great time until someone entered the room.

*Flashback*

*laughing*
-What? Do I have something on my face? I was confused, Rebecca started suddenly to laugh while looking at me.
-You have cream all over your face! Oh, I can't breath!
-Oh, my God... help me clean it, don't just laugh!
-I can't... *louldly laughing* you just look so funny-
-Do you have napkins?
-*shouting* Hey, can you bring us some napkins, please? My friend over here-
-Becca... shut up, you're embarrasing me!
She is this kind of friend that would rather embarass the hell out of you and make fun of you instead of actually helping, but I love her even if sometimes is very annoying. But at least we are going to have many funny stories to tell.
-Here... you go. *starts laughing*
-Yeah, thanks... I was literally so embarased that I wanted to just get swallowed by the ground and disappear.
-What happened, Alison? You look like a red velvet cake.
-Oh, shut up. You could have asked quietly, you embarrased me on purpose. Now tell me, did I get it off of my face?
-No-
-You still have a little here. Let me help you.
And as I wasn't already red, he made me feel even more embarrased.
-Don't worry, it happens. By the way, my name is Christian if you didn't manage to read my badge. You can call me Chris if that's more convenient.
