I miraculously survived the day after being the talk of the century since well you know, my now ex-boyfriend is quite famous and the news is circulating around the company just like a contagious disease. I happened to bump with my boyfriend with some other girl clinging on his arms like a koala while running to the subway to catch the train. They were so sweet and I haven't seen Justin that happy when he was with me. Our eyes met and I can no longer contain my emotions, knowing the emotional I am, I broke down in tears and turned away slowly as if I haven't known him for years. He wasted our two-year relationship. On the side note, I have to get moving or else, it's not only my relationship will be ruined but my career also. I am working as an office staff of one of the largest companies here in New York. While Justin is the co-owner of a company that runs most financial institutions here in the city. I will not go into detail about how I met him because I am not really in the mood to talk right now. Anyway, I ran to the entrance of the company, bumped some employees and I really don't care at all. I want to get this day done and go home, watch some movies, or probably cry myself to sleep.

I muster up and walked around the company just like a normal person because they have nothing to do with my business and I am so done with Justin.

"She's Mr. Justin Padelecki's girlfriend, right? Uh no, ex-girlfriend, might I add. My friend told me she saw Justin at the coffee shop with some other girl."

"Yeah, that's what I heard. Poor girl."

Oh just great! We haven't even had a proper breakup yet, and it's just a couple of minutes ago for goodness sake! They can have him for all I care! I have been living my life criticized for being his girlfriend. It's like I am a celebrity for being in a spotlight, under the eyes of his fans. I already noticed something is off of him when his calls became delayed and he had the audacity to lie on my face that he went to a business meeting where in fact I saw his pictures on his phones with some random girls. I am not that dumb not to notice the strange changes in his behavior.

"Beth, you want to come with us?"

Marlon, one of my friends in our department. He is lounging his ass in our meeting area and started to talk about clubbing and getting girls for the night.

"No, thank you. Enjoy." I stacked the papers that were laid in front of me and was interrupted by one of my co-workers, Julie.

"Come on, Beth. We know you're sad right now, and you have to at least make yourself distracted. Please, just for tonight. We have Aaron here, our designated driver."

See? These people aren't really my type of friends whom I can tell my secrets, but they already knew what is going on with my life.

She chuckled looking at Aaron, the rookie. He is the youngest so we can never let him get drunk. Well, it's not bad to celebrate my freedom from Justin, isn't it?

"Fine. Let's go." Damn it. I will be getting wasted tonight, she thought.

The night is still young but you can already see clubs jammed packed with businessmen. Some are celebrating, some are just killing their time and some are just like me downing my broken heart with some beer. The bar is unbelievably dark and you can only see the flashing of lights and it made me feel dizzy. Is it from the lights? Or I am getting drunk already? No, I only had two bottles in front of me. The bar looked fancy. It will remind you of the LUX from the TV series Lucifer.

I looked around only to find my friends nowhere in sight. They vanished just like that. Assholes.

"One more bottle please," I said to the bartender who is eyeing me with sympathy in his eyes.

"Whisky, on rocks please." A man suddenly appeared to my right. I looked at him and he is sporting the boyish look. He also smells nice. He looks like a model you usually saw on GQ magazine. Psh, these good looking guys were just up to no good.

"What are you looking at." He hissed at me downing the whiskey in just one shot. He cleared his throat and asked for more.

I snorted and eyed him with disgust while he is staring at the bottle of beer on my hands. I didn't say anything because first, I don't know this guy, second, I don't trust his looks, he is way too good looking and lastly, I am still in my right mind not to get attention from other guys when the main reason why I am here is to move on from my shtty relationship with Justin.

"You are not the type of girl going to clubs like this. I haven't seen you here before." He said playing with the glass on his hands. I inspected at how I look and I am indeed too good to be true in this environment. I am still wearing my gray coat, white undershirt, trousers, and heels. But I already put my hair down making my locks cover most of my face. It's like I don't recognize myself anymore.

I chuckled at how blunt this man can be. "Can't you tell, I am not in the mood for small talk right now?" I really did try to give him my deadliest glare but all he just did is a chuckle, pouring more alcohol in his glass.

"Easy there tiger. I just want to divert my mind off from everything. I'm Alex. And you are?"

He is looking at me with eyes full of sadness yet with amusement. It looks like I am not the only one who would like to forget something and have some fun.  It took a while for us to introduce ourselves and came up with small talk. Well, it's not bad to make a friend right?

"Elizabeth." I simply answered finishing off the third bottle in front of me. The more we talked, the more bottle of beers coming right up in front of me. I figured out his girlfriend cheated on him with some old man. He also opened up about his status in the society and man, he is the grandson of a chairman of the largest hotels and advertising company in the city. At first, I didn't believe him but when he showed me his calling card, I laughed at his face being rejected by a woman despite being the youngest and richest in the city. He just snorted and we both fell into a long stretch of silence. Until I opened up about my relationship.

"I love him. No. I loved him. From now on, I will forget him for good. And you too. Nothing is wrong with us. And we don't deserve all this."

"Fine, I'll keep that in mind." He said shaking his head in amusement.

I am now starting to see double and I keep shutting my eyes since I can no longer see clearly. I am not yet sleepy so maybe the alcohol is now consuming my system.

"Are you okay?" he asked chuckling at my state of drunkenness. He, on the other hand, you can see clearly that he is also drunk but not that drunk as me.

"Come on. Come with me, let me get you outside. You're already turning blue, you'll throw up anytime soon." He offered his hand that I instantly took. He held my waist to regain my balance until we reached the main entrance door.
