Alex' eyebrows furrowed with so much focus on reading not only personal details but the cover letter she made along with her resume. She graduated Business Administration at Boston University, both parents died ten years ago, 28 years old and is living independently.
"So she has been working in our company this whole time." He mumbled pinching the bridge of his nose out of frustration. Hate to admit that he was indeed tried to look for her but ended up losing the only sliver of hope of getting in touch with her. The only object she left before she ran away. A necklace. He pulled it out of his wallet and feeling foolish for keeping it. It's a gold plated necklace with initials of her name.
On the other hand, Elizabeth is now getting ready to go home, packing some of his belongings saying goodbye to her co workers. Alexander slowly made his way to the door of his office to see what she is up to. He leaned on the pillar silently watching the woman that once made him question his sanity. She is now making his way to the exit door when she felt someone is watching over her but Alexander is quick enough to stay away from her sight before she sees him. He is not yet ready to reveal himself and decided to place their relationship-if there is, on his palm. His phone buzzed and he answered it without looking at the caller as if he is expecting it.
"Don't tell me if it's bad news." He smiled clutching his coat and body bag readying to call it a day and go home.
"I can't say if it's bad or good news but you have to meet me at the address I texted you." Monty his trusted friend that owns most of the night clubs downtown is on the other phone. He has a lot of connections so if you want someone to be traced, this man is perfect for the job.
"Okay. See you then."
The way to the restaurant is awfully quiet. His mind is too full of what if's and hows about certain person. He closed his eyes and decided to take a nap. Before he knew it, they have reached the destination. Monty is waving at him like a kid waiting for his father. He smiled at his childish act and halfly ran to the entrance before any paparazzi notice them.
"Whoah, you just got from your office. This is probably important to you, eh?" Monty concluded and proceeds to the business.
"What do you got from me?" Being the impatient and short tempered he is, Alexander crossed his arms over his chest and motioned to his friend to get right to the topic.
"Okay, according to my sources... are you ready?" he asked with amusement in his eyes.
"Hurry up." Alex grew impatient, his fingers drumming on the table and he is seconds away to knock this friend of him for making him wait.
"She is a single mother. They are living in an apartment near the subway station. Maybe her boyfriend left her? I doubt, she is pretty huh? You aren't hitting on a single mother, right?"
"What else?" His thoughts are now focused to the fact that she has a son. He wanted to know more about the father and why is she still single.
"Uhh... she is working in your company obviously and... here. The address of her apartment." A small piece of paper is being laid in front of him.
"By the way, who is she?" Monty asked with eyes full of questions.
"You'll find out. I have a lot of work for you to do."
Elizabeth is a single mother to a one and a half year old boy and will be turning two this year. Feeling thankful to her old woman neighbor who usually offers to look after his son while she is at work. She paced back and forth in her little apartment scurrying from packing his son's bottled milk, her belongings and documents for work.
