That is Aria as Marina Ruy Barbosa ☝️

Serena's POV

I had finally arrived at my new home, as the uber came to a complete stop by a small triplex. I thanked the driver after he helped me with my luggage, I grabbed my stuff and walked inside the lobby. I pulled out my phone and called my new roommate. It took a few rings but she answered. "Hey, I'm here! Can you please open the door". I heard rustling in the background before she spoke "Sure thing, I'm sorry I couldn't pick you up at their airport I had to clean up the place". "No worries, thanks!" I hung up, the door made a buzzing sound as a pulled it open. I walked towards the elevator and pressed on the 3th floor button.

I walked over to apartment 308, I didn't bother to knock since I had a feeling it was already open. As soon as I opened the door Aria greeted me with a hand shake, which for me it was a new way of greeting since my culture Im we always been taught to give a kiss on the cheek and hug.

"Hey how are you ? How was your flight?"

"I'm fine thanks, how are you? And the flight was long but it was okay I slept for most of the time"

"That's good. Let me give you a little tour."

I nodded closing the entrance door I followed Aria around as she showed me the kitchen which was by entrance door, then the living room that had a great view of the forest, it looked even more beautiful as the sun was setting, it was definitely a change from where I used live, this area was more rural yet it was only 30 minutes drive away from the city. The living room had two cream coloured couch, a coffe table in the middle, and a flat screen 32' LG tv that mounted on the tv cabinet. Aria also showed me the balcony, that was also facing the forest, it was small but it had a cute set up, with a bbq grill on the side, and small outdoor table set. Aria then showed me the bathroom and my room, it was a decent size but it was missing furniture.

That is why we decided to go to Ikea. After we got a dresser, a bed, a night stand, and some other decorations to set up my room, we went to the line up and I payed from my things.

"Let's some from yogurt!" Aria dragged me to the food court of IKEA, I thought it was strange that they had a food court, but my worries were wiped away after we got our frozen yogurt. It was probably one of the tastiest frozen yogurt I ever ate. After we ate and we went to pick up my stuff. I was glad that Aria had a pick up truck, it made things even easier that the workers helped us put my furniture in the back trunk.

Once we got back to the apartment, we went straight to work. First we set the white patterned carpet I got in the middle of the room, then we set up the bed on top of it, I wasted no time in putting the bedsheet. On both side of the bed I put my two nightstands, and on the right side of the wall I put the writing desk. Aria helped me put up the soft pink curtains, and other decorations up. I was happy everything complemented each other.

"Finally we're done" I plopped on my bed, the mattress was so comfy

"Finally we're done" I plopped on my bed, the mattress was so comfy.

"I know I'm so tired." Laying beside me, Aria sat a bit.

"I hope you're settling in okay. I have to get to sleep now I have to run errands early in the morning."

"Yeah sure. Thank you for helping me out Aria"

"No problem. Goodnight roomie!"

"Goodnight!"

With that she got up and left my room closing the door on her way out. I could tell we would become great friends. Aria had been super sweet to be offer to help me get settled in by coming with me to get my furniture. It was great that we got along right off the bat, or else it could've been awkward living together and all. From such a little time we spent together I could tell she was a bubbly person, and liked to help others. Not only was she pretty but also very humble, which I admired. She reminded me of my older sister Lidia, but She looked the total opposite. Aria had fiery red hair and with dark lashes that made her hazel eyes pop. On the other hand, my sister had medium brown hair similar to mine and pretty brown doe eyes that made her look innocent, even though she was far from that. The more I thought about my sister the more I missed her, even though we weren't on good terms when I left, I couldn't help but miss her.

I had to stop dwelling in the past, with that I got up and walked to bathroom to fresh up, and to somehow wash away the thoughts of my family so I could focus on the future. I turned on the shower and I tried to adjust the temperature so I wouldn't burn myself, once I was satisfied I got in. The hot water relaxed my body instantly, I just stood there for a few minutes enjoying the way the water hit my skin, until finally I started washing my hair, and my body parts. This was exactly what I needed to calm my wandering mind.

After I took a shower  I still wasn't able to go to sleep. Sighing loudly I got up and decided to get some fresh air. It was a bit chilly outside since the weather was changing, soon it would be fall.

I got up and made my way to the balcony. I sat down on one of the chairs, the night was peaceful. I looked up to the forest enjoying mother's nature gifts.

The only sound I could hear was the wind blowing on the tree's leaves, until a howl erupted from the forest. It was one of the most beautiful sounds I ever heard, as if it was calling out to me. I am definitely going crazy. But I couldn't help myself the more I listened to the howl the more relaxed I got, until my eyes started drooping and sleep finally came to me.
