A/N: This is the preview version of the rewrite to this story, under 'The Twin Girls of Phoenix Flame'.

Third P.O.V.

The water ran over her smooth, bare, flawless skin. It ran down her face, down her closed eyes, and into the rapidly churning water at her hips. She passed her soapy hands through her damp hair, water dripping from the darker blue strands.

Her foot pushed off the bottom of the waterfall's pool and pulled her arms in a circular motion, pushing her forward to the shore of the lake. The rumbling noise in her ears died down slightly as her hand found the large smooth rock just below the water surface. She pushed up with both hands and hefted herself onto the rock, sitting on the rock and now facing were she knew the waterfall was.

She closed her eyes again and focused on the moving water. It went silent. The smile engulfed her face. She did it.

For the new few minutes, she smiled as the continuing to enlarge amount of water stayed in the air. There was light blue guild mark on her stomach. It was just above her belly button and had fiery blue wings reaching up far on either side towards her rib cage. A tail came out from the small thin body and went below it towards her lower half. The back was visible as the head was from the side view, curved at the point, and it reached to be parallel with her belly button.

"Amaya!" cried out a small voice. It came from the direction of the shore. By the side of the alke – which had a small river meandering out of it at the other far side – stood a navy exceed with white tipped ears and tail that blurred into the dark blue in gradient. She wore a loose white dress that was thrill at the waist and a curved neckline. It was dark pink at the hem of the dress and was also sleeveless. A lily with pink edges was tucked behind one of her ears. "What are you doing here?"

"Practising," she replied, but she could feel Takara's disbelieving eyes still on her. "And I took a shower," she admitted, a light pink dusting reaching her cheeks. However, she did not look away. She had never seen any body language to show that.

But there are showers at the guild," Takara said, her voice letting her know her fear.

"I prefer it here," she replied as calm as the water around her as she swam towards her friend. The water still piled above her and it could stay there for at least the next few hours.

"But it's dangerous," Takara responded, concern filling her voice. "Especially since..." She hesitated, sensing whether she'd be offended or not. Amaya internally grunted, though. "You know."

She stared at the direction she knew her friend was in, attempting a glare. Placing her feet on the smooth sand below, she walked to the shore.

"I lost my eyesight before I could remember. I've learnt how to live without it, in fact, I don't know how to live with it. Then there's the fact that I'm a water dragon slayer. I can sense where things are, and this is a waterfall. This is where I thrive," she explained, heading up out of the water and towards a tree. "Anyway, I'm going to get changed now."

After a few minutes, Amaya stepped out from behind the tree in a black skirt that reached to just above her knees and was pleated. A white crop top covered her small chest from just below to her bust to just above it. Two thin straps crossed over at her collarbone and then around her neck. She wore knee high black boots tied up by silver laces, which glinted in the light. Light blue hair flowed down her shoulders towards her hips in long waves with white strands threaded throughout. Part of it flowed down past her bust. She had sea green blue eyes that were somewhat disconnected from the world and her pale skin shone in the sunlight that broke off through the red leaves.

"I'm done."

She headed towards Tanaka, across the lush green grass and by the now still clear blue lake, and let go of the building up water. The crash rang in her delicate dragon slayer ears and Tanaka didn't dare to speak – knowing she couldn't hear as the sound continued to ring in her ears at that moment.

Soon, they were walking along the golden brown gravel path that weaved through the thin dark brown trees with multiple shades of red leaves of the Heart Red forest. Along the path, they headed towards Tulip Village. Then the tall narrow buildings rose out of the street, attached terrace houses lining the wide main street. All were made of bricks painted a grainy cream colour with a golden light brown slated roof and there were large windows bordered by light grey wood.

People filled the street: walking along, chatting with friends, reading on a bench by a tree, heading in and out of houses, and sweeping the fine loose dirt from the road with a broom. There was even a carriage pulled by horses heading down it.

Amaya and Tanaka headed down the street. People noticed one of the most powerful wizards in the village and, as it was a village, she knew the majority of them.

"Where have you been?"

"Shinju has been so worried about you."

"Amaya, Kaede has something to tell you."

Amaya recognised the voices and replied, "I've been yb the waterfall, Masuyo; she's always worried, Rakuro; does she really, Rika?"

Soon they walked up to the dark oak doors that were twice as tall Amaya with the top curved in an arch. Grey bricks surrounded the door and covered the ground and first floor. Black slates formed a small roof, so the building ducked in a bit. There was a section of the building were the doors were that stuck forward and had slanted pointed roof over it that went into the building. The building continued up in the same grainy cream colour up to the black slated roof above with a window between the slanted roof. Windows repeated up every floor in the same pattern with a flower basket below each one and each was bordered by the same light grey wood; each was also fairly large, so much so that a person would stand in it with all their body shown. Above the door was a fiery version of the guild mark, the wings stretching up as the tail reached down.

She reached toward the gold handle when...
