Do you love reading novels?

Stories?

Which genre do you prefer most?

Are you into those action-packed mystery ones, thrillers/horrors (goosebumps), or cheesy romance ones?

I'd bet you'd say the last one.

That's why you're here.

You're expecting me to end this novel with a boyfriend.

Not alone.

You'd probably start speculating possible scenarios on how I will meet my possible 'love interest'.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I won't be having one.

You heard, er-read right.

My story wasn't placed under Romance, so stop asking.

Because I'm a hopeless romantic.

And when I say hopeless romantic, emphasize the word HOPELESS.

I am no head turner. I am so close a wallflower and yet I am not. I'm now a senior this coming school year. And almost every girl in my school probably had their share of flowers and chocolates on Valentine's Day. I don't really like flowers and chocolates make me fat but I just can't help envying them.

Didn't I ask you if you love reading novels?

Guess what, me too.

And I hit on cheesy romance novels.

Ecxept that I have a twist.

I don't go for Nicholas Sparks and the likes.

Because I love happy endings. I know I'm an idiot. It's supposed to end tragic and all for it to be realistic, but it's a novel and novels aren't real (except when it says based on a true story, then that's a different story). So why try to be realistic? I mean, I'm probably earning glares right now, but novels were made to entertain us. Not stress us over the fact that our favorite character just died right in front of our noses. I really have a hard time getting over those kind of heartbreaks.

I love reading those cheesy romance books. And when I say cheesy, I mean it overloaded in a way that makes you swoon every time you turn a page.

I practically read all types of story plot. Mostly are about two extremely opposite people falling in love. Because the universe of love stories firmly believes in 'Opposites attract'. There's the cool dude falling in love with the nerd or the queen bee with an ordinary guy.

These kinds of story plot should be abolished. It's somehow frustrating that these uber ugly heroines gets to find their prince charming and yet nobody bothers taking a look at me. Hello? Do I need to be freaky for the cool guys to start looking at me?

This is my absolute problem.

I think I should start seeing a shrink.

I am weird.

I do believe that these novels do not exist in real life, but I think like every thing's in a story book. I feel like the heroines of the books I've read wherein some secret admirer secretly adores her from afar. I go that far.

Yes, I am that creepy.

And it frustrates me more because it doesn't happen.

I should stop with the explaining and just start my story. You'd probably understand it better.

I am Shannon Klein Brooks, 14, and this is my tragic story (I promise I'll try my best to end this with a happy one. I hate sad endings, right? But if I cant, I promise I won't die in the end.).

Hi my beloved readers! I've got a new story!

This one will be entirely in English (my first one is purely in Filipino and the second one is mixed.)

Thank you for supporting my other stories. I hope you support this one as well.

This story is from an entirely fresh perspective. So i suggest you should really give it a try.

Also, if you have your suggestions, you can drop your comments. They might just be so great that I'll include it in the plot. :)

Season's Greetings ♡
