Yoongi and Lia came home and were welcomed by smiling friends. They all noticed something was wrong between the two but couldn't explain it. They felt like what was wrong wasn't with their relationship.
"Noona what's wrong?" Jungkook asked Lia.
"We think Byeon Jang is alive." Lia said causing Namjoon to choke on his water. He dropped the glass and Chaeyoung patted his back holding his hand with her other one to keep him grounded.
"You think what?" Jungkook asked to make sure he was hearing them correctly.
"Byeon Jang is alive." Yoongi said.
"Who is Byeon Jang?" Hoseok asked.
"Didn't we have a ruler like ages ago called that?" Jin asked.
"Guys I have something to tell you." Yoongi sighed looking at Lia.
++
"You expect us to believe that Lia has been alive since Emperor Byeon Jang and was one the Queen that he banished when she cheated on him?" Jin scoffed.
"Yes." Yoongi said.
"It's true." Lia said.
"Sure and Jungkook is this wizard guy from the same time?" Jimin asked.
"I am. Hyung what they're saying is true." Jungkook said.
"I don't believe you guys." Hoseok shook his head.
"Neither do I." Jin said.
"Or me." Jimin crossed his arms.
"I do." Taehyung murmured.
"What?" Everyone asked hearing him. Those telling the truth appreciated it but didn't expect it.
"You do?" Lia asked him.
"I do." Taehyung nodded.
"Why?" Yoongi asked.
"Because I came over one day to get Jungkook and he was in the back with Namjoon hyung. When I went in the back I saw the door open and a dragon. He was beautiful but he looked hurt. He was bleeding everywhere. I saw like glitter or something then the dragon turned into Namjoon hyung. He was bleeding from his stomach. I didn't know what to do so I ran home. I told you something came up and we couldn't hang out." Taehyung said looking at Jungkook.
"I remember that. I didn't hear you. It must have been because of that farmer." Namjoon said.
Jimin started laughing making his two hyungs laugh and clap their hands at the story.
"Nice one guys. You almost had us." Jimin said.
"Hyung they're not lying. Hyung show them." Taehyung pleaded.
"Okay." Namjoon nodded and everyone followed him out to the back. Lia was holding onto Yoongi's arm and watched Namjoon close his eyes.
The same glitter Taehyung saw appeared again and Namjoon was now a long blue dragon. The three nonbelievers fell on their bottoms seeing Namjoon who still looked sweet in this form. They could see their friend by looking into the eyes of the beast.
"Believe us now?" Jungkook asked.
The three nodded so fast Lia was sure their necks would break. Namjoon turned back and slowly approached his three friends.
"That's pretty cool Namjoon-ah." Jin murmured.
"Now why don't we hear noona's side of the story since we've only ever know his." Jimin suggested.
++
"Wow." Hoseok murmured seeing all the journals in the attic and all the things in the chests she kept all these years.
The three felt horrible for how Lia had to suffer lifetime after lifetime just because she didn't love the king who himself was having his own affairs. After hearing her story and how no matter how long had passed she still loved Yoongi they apologized for thinking marrying so early wasn't the best idea. Lia understood and was never upset about their thoughts. They were only looking out for their friend.
"Why do you always die young hyung?" Jimin asked Yoongi the question the elder had been dreading.
"It was part of her suffering. Everytime I learn about it I have four months to live." Yoongi said.
"Four months? Why four? How long do you have left?" Jin asked.
"Four months because she was four months pregnant. I have less than a month." Yoongi murmured lowly.
"The baby?" Jimin asked in almost a whisper.
"He killed it." Lia sniffled.
"Kook I thought he died." Yoongi said turning to him. He wanted to get off the topic knowing Lia still found it hard even after so long.
"He should have. I mean he grew old." Jungkook said.
"You saw it?" Yoongi asked.
"Everyone did hyung. Noona maybe you and I can find him." Jungkook said looking at Chaeyoung.
"Then we go today." Chaeyoung said.
"Jungkook-"
"Don't worry noona. We'll be safe and back before you even miss us." Jungkook said hugging her. He ran to his house to get a bag of things before the two said goodbye to everyone even though they just got to see the married couple after a week of being away.
"What should we do while we're here?" Lia asked Jungkook.
"I suggest you enjoy your time together." Chaeyoung spoke for him.
"I've been trying for the last three months." Lia said.
"I know my dear. We'll do everything we can." Chaeyoung said. With that the two left leaving the rest in the attic.
"Why didn't you keep it a secret?" Jin asked Lia. He was upset because now he would be loosing his best friend in a handful of days.
"Hyung it's not her fault." Yoong defended her.
"Yoongi-"
"Shes tried before to keep it a secret. Nothing works I always find out. Accidentally finding something, seeing something, visions, flashbacks. I find out no matter what she does." Yoongi said.
"Then she should have stayed away!" Jin yelled letting his emotions take over.
"I've done that too." Lia whispered. "I've lived a long time, you don't think I tried everything you're thinking? I even thought once it was just because he was near me whenever it happened so he found out and I left. He still died! You're watching this happen for the first time Seokjin this this is number I can't even remember. I'm sorry that you're upset with me. I am but I did everything I could think of to keep him alive."
She stood and left the attic slamming the gate as she left the property. Jin let his shoulders drop in guilt. He was only thinking about himself and his friends, he ignored her position in this and what she might have done over the years.
"Yoongi-"
"I understand you're upset hyung. I do but you aren't the only one loosing someone."
"I know. When she gets back I'll apologize."
He did and Lia forgave him. They talked and sorted everything out with a bottle of wine. Yoongi was happy to see it, he wanted his remaining days to be good ones.
