The sunglasses

Leon walks up to Allie with a huge smile stretched across his face like usual
"Hey Allie! How are you today"
"Just a little tired,how are you Leo"
She smiles half heartedly at him
"I'm good thanks, great infact! Jessica asked me out again yesterday and I told her to get lost"
"Why would - oh you told her?"
"Yea-"
"WAIT your coming out?!  Yes it's about time Leo!"
He smiles at her but suddenly realised her sunglasses on, which wouldn't concern him if it wasn't raining.
"Umm Allie, you know it's raining right?"
"Huh? Oh right well I wouldn't want to break them .."
Allie looks down quickly, but she knows she can't hide it from Leon, they've been best friends since they were 3 and he knows her better than she knows herself. He reached to take her sunglasses off, she flinches a little but she lets him take them off revealing her black eye.
"Did he do this to you?!"
"No Seb didn't do this" Allie replies uncertainly.
Leon's face is consumed with anger.
"Why don't you just leave him Allie?"
He started at her with pleading eyes that he knows she can't resist. She looks back at him with nothing but sadness and hurt in her eyes.
She can't bring herself to say anything but her eyes say it all. She's tried before and it didn't end well, she decided it would be less painful to stay for now, but not because she would miss him. Leon knows that his warnings are useless as he had tried many times to get Allie to dump Seb. But unfortunately he wasn't able to get her to.
