One-Shot: The Sea King

The Sea King (Part 1)

Outer Realm of KhokkeyZemli

Vladdy Voskresenskov, Jonathan Droit, Stephen Mitchell, Yanni Bournival, Jaydrien Point, Evgeny Kuchikin, TJ Johnson, Libor Pallak and Alex Killeen the black unicorn stand at the edge of a cliff that juts out into the ocean waters. Behind them, about half a mile inland is a giant mundane lighthouse.

Vladdy has a hold of his favorite black and blue color-themed hockey stick, a Nexus One named Yzerchuk, while Jaydrien Point clutches to his blue, black and orange Warrior Covert QRL stick, Voskrechuk. Jo, the new King of Boltsdale and current captain of the Thunder, holds a sparkling blue trident in his hands.

"What are we looking for?" Killeen grumbles.

"Shhh," Jo flicks his hand out to the side. He then takes a step forward, causing rocks and pebbles to crumble away at the edge and trickle down into the water that slams against the rocky wall below them. Jo squints at the sun's rays overhead, looking into the distance to spot a fast approaching black, cruise-size style ship.

"Whoa! A cruise!!" Killeen stomps his hooves eagerly. "The best thing is," he leans down to rub his dirty, windblown mane against Vladdy's neck and shoulders as he says, "I can be a unicorn and get aboard here!"

Yanni smiles awkwardly at him. "As long as I get to be the one to ride you!"

"NO! I RIDE PONY FIRST!" Evgeny whines, throwing his hands down to his sides and then crossing them, accidentally knocking his favorite small plush Vaporeon from his hold. "AH! KUCHEREON! NO SWIMMING! Water is cold in KhokkeyZemli winter!"

Libor rolls his eyes. "Evgeny, when are you gonna grow up?"

"Never..." Evgeny grins slyly at the Czech player.

"Guys, this is serious!" Jaydrien snaps. "This ship is not friendly. We need to get to the lighthouse and warn everyone!"

Vladdy sighs. "So much for peace and quiet..."

Jo puts a hand on his shoulder. "I got this, Vlad. Don't worry." He nods his head and shoots him a wink. "It's my first real threat as a King! I'm rather excited. Besides, we have a secret weapon."

"The Hab turned good?" Vladdy mumbles, unenthusiastically. "I'm still not sold."

Jo grabs Vladdy by the chin and tilts his head up, gazing into his eyes with fierce amber brown pools. "Gally opted to be good as a silver wolf-dragon thing, Vladdy. He's on our side and each day he gets lighter and lighter. I think he's really shut out the darkness."

"This will be his test then."

"Indeed. MITCHELL, GET TO THE LIGHTHOUSE AND SOUND THE ALARM! Everyone else, it's showtime!"

Stephen darts for the lighthouse as Vladdy and Jaydrien nod to one another and activate their weapons.

But before they can, the ship zooms forward at a faster speed and comes right up on the cliff, running into the tip and not stopping as it plows into the rocky cliffside sending rocks and grass particles mixing with water.

"RUN!" Jo screams.

Libor and TJ grab Evgeny's hands as Evgeny clutches tightly to Kuchereon. Killeen lets Jo get onto his back. Jo whips his trident around in the air like a lasso as they all race for the lighthouse.

Stephen skids to a halt as he reaches the tall white building. He then proceeds to walk around to the far side, where the secret entrance is, but instead he is swarmed by pirate men. Two grab him and force him to his knees, while a third begins to tie up his arms behind his back. Stephen struggles but is held down successfully by the men.
