Xiao XingChen was in the Baoshan Sanren residence. He had come back to beg Master Baoshan Sanren to save his friend's sight. Willing to give up his own he begged Master Baoshan Sanren to take his eyes and give them to Song Lan just so his friend can see once again...
XingChen was out fulfilling his goal when he found out about Song Lan. Once Xiao XingChen found out that his friend had lost his eyesight he tried multiple ways to try and bring his line of vision back until he had finally settled to his last hope. His last resort was to return to Celestial Mountain and ask his Master to restore Song Lan's vision. He had broken the greatest rule when leaving the Baoshan Sanren residence, that was "Once you leave the Mountain you shall never come back. You are forbidden in returning." Upon that given rule he was desperate in curing his friend...
"Master Please! I ask of you to take my sight of vision and usher it to Song Lan." Upon his request Master, Baoshan Sanren finally conceded his request. Taking his eyes was already excruciating as it was, yet he endured it all. He was left exhausted and breathless due to the immense pain of having both his sockets dugout. He opened his eyes and saw nothing. He couldn't even see the darkness it was completely empty his line of vision gone. He smiled softly and pitied himself for a moment. He got back up and thanked Master Baoshan Sanren for executing his request. He started to walk off to leave the Mountain, leaving so soon before his friend awoke. He didn't want Song Lan to know what happened and had asked Master Baoshan Sanren to keep it a secret.
