After leaving the Celestial Mountain he wandered at the road ahead of him. With no real destination or purpose, he was clueless as to what he was gonna do next. He paused and pondered for a moment wondering what his next goal was gonna be. After a good while, he decided it was too late to think and went out to ask villagers if there was an Inn nearby. The villagers informed him that there was an Inn a couple of minutes away from where he was. He walked away towards the Inn slowly, careful not to bump and cause anyone trouble. It was difficult without his line of vision and he had yet to get accustomed to it, as he had no other choice and only depended on himself.
"One night is 5 taels, sir." XingChen quickly gave the older man 5 taels and headed towards his room for the night. Making it to his room XingChen sighed heavily as it was a long day for him. He slowly made his way towards his bed to rest. On his way towards the bed, he bumped into a table and staggered forwards falling. He groaned in pain as the fall had caused quite an injury. He got up slowly and once again walked towards his bed to slumber for the night. As he laid in his bed he couldn't help but think about his current situation but thinking back to the reason as to why he's now crippled eased his mind. Slowly but surely he dozed off into a deep slumber.
"Xiao XingChen! Let's start a new sect for people like us, not just blood ties but for people who don't belong and with no family."
"Let's make a promise to always stay together and fight the evil and save the innocent."
"Master! Song Lan and I have decided to leave Celestial Mountain. We have decided to make our own family and fight evil in this world."
"Once you leave you are unable to return to Celestial Mountain."
"Master! Please Fix Song Lan's eyes! I have done wrong and returned to Celestial Mountain. Master, I beg of you to help Song Lan!"
I woke up in a sweat. The dream had startled me, causing me to wake up in a panic. I opened my eyes several times and rubbed them but to no avail, I could not see. I then remembered I was unable to see anymore and was crippled. I got up slowly but my body ached in pain. I remembered last night's fall and got up slowly. I headed towards the door to leave the Inn. Once I was outside I heard lots of noise and people talking. I started walking and listened to my surrounding. Later the noise became silent and the path I was taking became rougher. I hear leaves rustle from the tree as the cool wind brush against the branches. The breeze felt nice it was calming and peaceful. After moving forward I hear the sound of water. I must be near the river. I walk towards the sound, soon the noise became louder I bent down to feel the freezing water against my fingertips. I sat there for a moment enjoying the silence and the cool breeze that would pass now and then. After a while, I got up and started walking back to continue on the path I was taking when I stumbled on something. I quickly stopped and composed myself, I slowly bent down to touch whatever was in my way. When I bent down and touched whatever was in my way I felt something soft and cold. It felt familiar, I then continued to roam my hand around and felt something silky. It was hair someone's hair to be exact the hair felt soft and silky and it had a slight scent of cherry blossoms. I softly spoke "Hello? Are you ok?" I waited for an answer but I was left in silence and unanswered. I decided to take the unconscious person with me, as the person was probably injured and it was dangerous for anyone just to be laid by the river bank unconscious. I carried the person to the next town and found another Inn. I decided to stay in this town till tomorrow afternoon then he would set off and get going again. For now, I had to make sure this person was ok and safe. I carefully find the person's injuries and bandage them up, then waited for them to wake up. It was sundown and the unconscious person still hadn't woken up yet. I was in deep thought before I noticed that the person has woken up. "Who are you? Why am I here?" The voice was soft and gentle like a female. She seemed alerted and scared. I smiled gently and replied "I found you unconscious by the river bank so I took you to an Inn in town. My name Xiao XingChen." She was silent for a moment before replying, "Ah I see, I apologize for my rudeness. Thank you for taking care of me." I asked her a few questions regarding her situation, she seemed hesitant in answering at first but decided to cooperate as to show her thanks.
The girl's name was Ao Ming the parts of her name sounded oddly familiar. I brushed it off and continued to think. It was silent for a while before she broke the silence and asked me, "Sir? What happened to your eyes?" I was taken back by the sudden question. "I gave my eyes to someone who needed it more," I told her. She became quiet. I got up and told her that I would leave her to rest for the night. I left her room quietly and went out to the streets to walk for a while. I cleared my head and enjoyed the night breeze. "She can stay with me till her wounds heal," I said to myself. I carefully headed back to the Inn.
