"Chanyeol? Honey, I'm home!" his mom shouted as soon as she reached the house.

"Please wait there, okay?" She gestured at someone behind the door.

"Come here baby, mama has a surprise for you."

Chanyeol walked to her mom standing near the door, he smiled a little while holding a toy robot on his one hand.

"Tada!" She exclaimed, handing his son a plastic bag of banana milk and corn dogs.

"Wow~!" his eyes widened in surprised, face full of excitement.

She ruffled his son's hair. "Mama has another surprise for you. But first, please promise me one thing, okay?"

"What is it, eomma? Did you finally bought me a dog?" he hopped, feeling hyper.

She shakes her head and chuckle. "Silly. You can't even clean up your toys, who would clean the puppy's mess if I get you one, hmm?" She asked, smiling softly while gently scratching his chin. "But he... somehow looked like a puppy, would that be okay?"

On the other hand, the said boy hiding can't wait any longer, so he peeked between the door and the wall making Chanyeol jolt a little in surprise, seeing a pair of cute, small eyes blinking at him.

"Oh?" Eomma Park noticed him. "Come here, sweetie." she gestured for him to come out.

"Chanyeol, this is Baekhyun. From now on, he will be your.... little brother." She smiled and Chanyeol can't believe what he's hearing.

"But.....?" he whispered in disbelief, looking at the small kid his mom introduced to him.

She turned Baekhyun to look at her telling him that he can look around the house for awhile, he nodded with a gentle smile. Once Baekhyun left, he pulled Chanyeol in a small embrace.

"Baby, it's okay. Don't you want a little brother?" he looked at his son, patting his head. "I always worry that you we're a little sad because you have no one to talk to or play when mom's away for work." he looked behind his back, eyeing Baekhyun who's hopping on the couch like the little and innocent kid he is. She smiled, the same as the one plastered on the younger's face.

"Plus he didn't have a home. I always saw him outside the convenience store, either running errands or throwing garbage just to get a free sandwich from the store owner."

Chanyeol's eyes saddened from what he heard. "H-he do that?"

She nodded. "Mm, that's why we're taking care of him now, so that he don't have to do things like those anymore. Look at him..." She turned his son to make him look at Baekhyun who's now looking outside the window, tapping the glass lightly as he grin at the cars and passengers speeding by.
