Madelines POV

Waking up next to Lina was the best feeling in the world.

She was absolutely perfect.

But knowing that I would eventually have to go back to Paris and face my demons was killing me from the inside out.

And Lina knew it.

I sat at her kitchen table completing a crossword that was in the newspaper.

Lina was Making eggs and coffee.

I turned at the sound of my phone ringing from her bedroom. But ignored it and continued doing my puzzle.

"How long are you gonna avoid them?"

Lina asked referring to my parents.

I sighed pouring a packet of cream in the coffee she placed In front of me.

She was leaning against the table with her arms crossed, a concerned look on her face. I knew she was worried about me, she knew how much family meant to me, especially after my brother died.

"I will talk to them today, I promise" I said finally letting my eyes meet hers.

She leaned her head to the side letting her dark hair fall,

"I know you don't want too, but I think you should at least try and get closure. Maybe even forgiveness?"

I shook my head slowly, there was absolutely no way I was getting any closure with my mother. She would always deny the fact that she basically allowed my brother to die. And she would never allow her image to be ruined by having a lesbian daughter.

"Lina... I don't think closure will ever happen with my mother. But forgiveness? Possibly." I stood grabbing my coffee and heading into her bedroom about to shower.

I heard a muffled shit and the smell of burnt eggs whiffed through the air.

I laughed to myself, if burnt eggs, romantic conversations, an amazingly beautiful woman, and mind blowing sex is what being married consist of... well than I am on the right path!

I went inside her bathroom and closed the door setting my coffee on the counter and pulling out a towel from the rack. I was planning on talking about wedding plans with with Lina today, I want to start preparing right away.

I just hope this is not all too fast for her.

That's the last thing I would want.

Is for Lina to get cold feet, which is more than a possibility, considering my status and past reputation.

I pushed the thoughts aside and continued into the shower.

Once I got out I brushed my damp hair and decided to let the curls air dry. I poured the remainder of my coffee into the toilet and walked back out into the room, wrapped in my towel. I heard two voices. One I knew was Lina and the other sounded familiar but I wasn't for sure.

I made sure the room door was closed and quickly changed into my underwear. I slipped on a dark pair of jeans and a loose orange top that hung longer in the back. My hair was slowly drying and it had a little volume, I put on my tan heels and walked over to my phone.

Deciding I would go out alone and finally call my parents.

I put my phone inside my purse along with my charger. Grabbing my jacket I exited Linas bedroom.

She was laughing on the couch next to Daisy her best friend.

Both of their eyes landed on me as I walked out of the room, Lina was looking me up and down. Which caused me to smirk, Daisy just laughed.
