Madelines POV
"Your getting married Maddie! She obviously loves you!" I smiled laying out on the pool side with sun glasses on.
"I know, but I can't help but worry Heather." She went under the water again and then rose back to the top. Walking to the side then pulling her toned body out. She grabbed her towel and dried her face, laying down next to me.
"God, she's turned you into a complete love sap!"
I laughed rolling onto my back and resting my head on my arms.
"Well excuse me, I guess this is what happens when you fall in love. You can't be away from that person for even a second without worrying about them and what they may be doing without you."She was staring at my face through her Ray Bans, "I'm so excited for your wedding, I hope Lina let's me pick her dress. Or at least come with her when she tries them on!"
"I'm sure she will let you come."
I closed my eyes thinking of what Lina was possibly doing at this moment.
Hopefully her art show was going well, I really wish I could have been there.
But leaving Paris right now wasn't the greatest idea, I needed to keep tabs on my mother.♡
Linas POV
I paced back and forth, waiting for the host to take her place by the mic. The actual Art show was finally about to begin, and I was beyond happy.
Daisy was sitting on her phone by my booth with Clayton by her feet still playing that Nintendo DS.
I crossed my arms as the older woman spoke with excitement,
"Welcome ladies and gentlemen to yet another great Modern Art Convention, also know as the Mac. I'm so excited for this evening, we have some amazing new artist as well as our former brilliant participants. Last year's Mac winner, Lina Hale is also here with us." I smiled as the crowd all turned to me, clapping.
I didn't know she was going to point me out!But I took this as a great welcoming,
She continued, "I invite you all to enjoy and express yourself via the art."After she finished everyone, left their booths and began walking around examining the other work.
I walked through crowds of people admiring every single piece of art. Stopping at one booth that caught my attention. It only had one painting, but that was all it needed. There was something brilliantly odd about the small splatter of reds and greens that cornered the canvas. The way the colors merged together forming nothing in particular, simply gave way for your imagination to decide what the painting was or meant.
"Do you like it?" A husky yet mellow voice caught my attention. He was tall and fit, dressed like many of the other free Lance artists that were here today.
"I do, it's so... confusing." He furrowed his eyebrows together turning to face me slightly.
I noticed his charming look, "Confusing? Out of all the things I've heard about this painting, confusing was never one of them." He had a similar accent to my fiancés, and I was now curious as to if he came from the same place.
"Well the colors give off a vibe, that screams 'I am what you want me to be.' And that's the best part about it I think," He nodded and caught my eyes with his own very beautiful blue ones, "your accent? I know you can't be from New York?"
He laughed showing dimples in each of his cheeks, "No definitely not a New Yorker, to be honest I'm not even sure how I got here. I grew up near Paris, France."
Called it.
"That's nice, I've been there. Everything about it is beautiful, the scenery, the people, even just the cool breeze. Absolutely perfect for art."
