Erin was from a small town in Mississippi. She always dreamed of leaving, just washing her hands of the place. She felt as though her family always judged her. She constantly felt like she was alone in the world, even though she had lots of great friends. She wasn't per se "popular" but she was nice and friendly to everyone. And everyone to her. So she felt loved but alone. As though no one really understood her or problems nor her likes and dislikes. Erin was always acted different from everyone. So people always called her "weird" for liking or being interested different things then the average 18 year old "black girl" in her little small town. The thing is, Erin doesn't have that small town mentality like everyone surrounding her. She wants more out of life then going to the same common community college like everyone else in this town. She dreamed of going to a big uni where is VERY DIVERSE, so she can express herself. Finally break free of this imaginary chain that's holding her back. To try things that she is ashamed and afraid of to try now. She gets a new start out of life and it was starting now. At this uni hours away from her home town.....
