Chapter 5

**May 5th**

"Alright class. The bell is going to ring in 5 minutes. Have a great summer, and stay safe." Mr. Conn said. He let the class out early. Kailee grabbed the last of her stuff from her locker, and started walking toward the door when Theo and Elsie caught up to her.

"So, you down for a totally awesome summer this year?" Elsie asked excited.

"I don't know if you remember or not, but I'm a celebrity that sings and preforms songs. I have a busy summer with tour, writing new songs, producing songs, concerts, and getting to be with my group. I also need to make time to see my daughter, which is slim to none." Kailee said while walking out the school doors.

"Man, is it really that hard to be famous?" Theo asked.

"I didn't even mention the secrecy about me and Jungkook, or the interviews, or... Ahh, the paparazzi. They are killer." Kailee said.

"Well, call us when you can hot shot." Elsie said starting to walk the other way with Theo.

"I'll try." Kailee smiled. She got in her Jeep, and drove home.

"Kailee! Please take us with you to Cali!" Kaide yelled running over to Kailee.

"You have to talk to mom for that one." Kailee said walking past him to her room. He followed close behind her.

"You know we'll be good. We're 16 and 10. It's not like we are going to wander away or anything." Kaide said trying to keep up with Kailee. They got to Kailee's room, and she picked out an outfit for Aria.

"Yes, Kaide, I know you guys will behave. I just need you to remember I won't be with you half the time. I have to help the guys make new songs, we have interviews, and concerts." Kailee said walking back to the livingroom with Kaide right behind her.

"I know, and I'll be ok with Kaicey half the time. You do remember that mom works over the summer, and you left us, right?" Kaide said with sarcasm. Kailee looked over at him while putting the outfit on Aria.

"Yes I know that, Kaide, but mom doesn't. If you and Kaicey can show her you can behave over the next 2 days, then I'll be more than welcome to take you guys for the summer." Kailee said then picked up Aria.

"Okay, I'll be the best little brother I can be!" Kaide said then ran to his room to pack his bag.

"Kaicey!" Kailee yelled sitting down on the couch with Aria. Kaicey came running from her room.

"What?" She asked.

"Do you want to go to California with me?" Kailee asked. Kaicey's eyes widened.

"Yes! Yes! Yes!" Kaicey yelled jumping around.

"You need to remember I won't be able to be with you 24/7, so you have to listen to Kaide." Kailee said.

"Yeah whatever." Kaicey said running to her room to pack. Dawn got home, and picked up Aria.

"Hello sweet little girl." Dawn said in a baby voice smiling at Aria.

"Can I take Kaide and Kaicey to California with me?" Kailee asked getting up, and following Dawn into the kitchen.

"You aren't going to be with them half the time." Dawn said grabbing Aria's bottle from the fridge.

"I know that. I already told them too." Kailee said sitting in a chair at the island. At that moment Kaicey and Kaide came running in the kitchen.

"Mom, can we go to Cali with Kailee please?" Kaide asked. Kaicey was right behind him.

"I promise we'll be good." She said.
