She smiles at me "don't worry I've had to help bring up young pups and keep them in their place" she assures me and Jed just smiles at her.
I shake my head then hold out my hand to her "welcome to the family" I tell her and she smiles fully and shakes my hand back.
"I'll need a couple of days to get my things sorted out and to make sure, Julie is fully up to speed so she can take over from me" Mavis tells Jeon.
He nods "thanks Mavis, good luck" Jeon says nodding towards my brother who is still making heart eyes at Mavis.
"Right, you follow me" she says to my brother who just nods and follows her without a word to me or Jeon.
I look at Jeon and we burst out laughing "we can only hope he snaps out of it soon as he has to deal with JK in the cells" I say once I've stopped laughing.
"How did you and Mary get on?" Jeon asks me, I let him know that everything well and our plan is on schedule. We go to get lunch and catch up with other pack members. I'm beginning to recognise people now and their names.
It's been a week since we let the hunter escape and my brother left with Mavis. He took JK back with them telling me he'd let me know what he decides to do with him.
Saint and Mary have been keeping tabs on the hunter. Today is the day that he is meeting the person that want's Jeon.
"Babe, Mavis has just called and told me she killed JK as he was a bad influence on your brother. Her exact words were he was evil through and through" Jeon tells me.
'Knew he was bad years ago' Saint grumbles
"I think we should tell her to have eyes on his father. Selene and Saint never liked that man" I warn Jeon.
I'm with Mary in her den working on making more camera's that we will be selling to Toby. He has decided to join this century and knows it will help protect his pack.
I wonder about Toby sometimes as he seems to like to spend a lot of time just relaxing.
"Hey heads up here we go" Mary says and I turn towards the bank of monitors. We can't see what is happening but we can hear what is happening.
"Sir, I have found the Alpha you want" the hunter says
"When will you have him?" we hear and I gasp
"Jeon tell Mavis and Jed to capture JK's dad he's the head of this" I yell through the link
"I'll have him by the end of the week Sir" the hunter answers.
"Good, ship him to Washington state and I'll have someone pick him up from there" JK's father says.
We here him leave and Saint does his thing and watches through the hunter's eyes as he climbs into a truck and drives away.
"Chim I'm sending some of my best warriors down to help your brother" Jeon tells me.
I wait until I'm sure the truck isn't coming back then wait until the hunter goes inside his shabby motel room. Once he's inside and Saint is fully back with me.
I press the space bar on the computer, then Saint tries to connect again with the hunter but finds nothing.
Mary looks at me "he's dead" I tell her before standing and leaving to go to Jeon.
'It had to be done' Selene tries to assure me.
"It's still a life" I mutter out loud. I walk into Jeon's office and go sit right in his lap.
