"Stop this at once Gowther." I said, pointing my sword to the traitorous demon.

"I know that you were forced into the position you are in because of an unfair deal." Gowther said in a calm tone. "I know you originally made the ten commandments simple to gather up strong demons so they could be destroyed all at once. So tell me, what changed?"

"Maybe I found that some demons aren't all that bad. They certainly don't live on such high horses like the goddesses do." I replied.

"I am trying to end the Holy War Alicost."

I was stunned. Did I want this war to end? Yes. I could be with Zeldris in peace forever.

"I will aid you."

I lent him my power only to find out he was corrupting my younger brother. It was when I realized it's impossible to do right without also doing wrong.

~Present Day

Alicsot shot out a powerful burst of magic, knocking back everyone around her.

"You three grab Estarossa. We're leaving." Alicost said firmly. "Now where i-" she began before being on the receiving end of a Meliodis punch. She was flung backwards into a mountain.

"Leave without me!" Alicost yelled, and Ban, Hendrickson, and Dreyfus flew away carrying Estarossa. Meliodis tried to give chase, but dark tendrils grabbed him.

"If you're planning on keeping me here then you don't get to leave either." Alicost said firmly.

"I don't recall you ever giving a damn about Estarossa. What changed?" Meliodis asked, drawing his dagger and slashing at Alicost.

"I didn't, and that was the biggest mistake of my life."

"You can't cast me out without the others permission Ludociel! Sariel? Tarmiel?"

I watched as they just shook their heads at me in shame.

"Brother?" I said, looking at my beloved younger brother.

"So now you want me. I'm only your brother when you need to use me."

"No! Mael please!"

"It's settled then." Ludoceil said.

I reached out to my younger brother one last time before being cast out.

~Present Day

Bad memories flashed in Alicost's eyes. What was she doing? Is this what Mael would want? But... then there was Zeldris. Alicost screamed out in rage, a huge magical blast exploding all around her.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME!?" she yelled out to the sky. "I DID EVERYTHING YOU ASKED AN YOU CAST ME OUT! I TRIED TO BE BETTER BUT NOTHING CHANGED!" she continued to yell out at the sky, tears streaming down her face. "I NEVER DISOBEYED UNTIL THAT TIME! AND THEN I WAS RIGHT!"

A bright light shown down on Alicost from the heavens. The Supreme Diety had answered her.

"There is much hatred in you. Conflict. The truth is that we feared you, so we cast you out. Your sacrifice has helped us greatly, for that we thank you."

"That's all? That's all you can give me? Some half assed reasoning about sacrifice an hate! I've got a damn right to be angry!" Alicost screamed at the sky. "I never turned my back on you! I still believed you might take me back after he switched sides!" Alicost's words became jumbled as she cried harder. "I-I swore I would give my life for you. For my brothers and sisters. Instead you shit my life away like it was nothing."

"You have to let go." the voice of Merlin rang out behind Alicsot. "You have to let go of the anger you feel. Only then can you be a true angel again."

"Take me as I am, and make me whole." Alicost said quietly. "That was the last line of the oath I took as an Archangel. Take me as I am. It's all a lie in the end. All of it. Angels and demons are all just stains on this world. Neither of us are good. Neither of us are right. We are all monsters in the end."

"So why not join us. We'll accept you no matter what." Alicost turned to see Meliodis's face had returned to normal, and a bright smile shone in his face.

"Maybe, but there is something else I must do." Aliscot said, standing up to leave.

"Umm, you mind bringing our friends back?" Meliodis said.

"Oh, right... yeah I can't really do that. The magic of my bottle has it's own mind and thoughts. I only access it. My bottle doesn't want to let your friends go. I'm sorry, but I can't change that."

"Are you kidding me!" King yelled, charging at Alicost, but in a flash she was gone.

"Huh. I wonder where she went." Meliodis said in his usual voice. "Well I'm sure we'll see her again. For now we have to prepare for war."

Meanwhile....

Alicost walked towards a small cave on the side of a mountain. A powerful light magic pulsed throughout it. The real truth was that Alicost never had her grace taken from her. She locked it away because she didn't believe she was worthy of it. But now was the time.

"The Omega Nexus." Alicost smiled. it was the perfect counter to Zeldris's Ominous Nebula. "I am the Archangel Alicost, and I will save the world."
