Scary Story 2

It was late at night as Alex was walking home from her job. She lived in an apartment just five blocks away so she figured she can get some exercise out by walking home.

As she looked around she noticed she turned the wrong way as she was on her phone texting a friend, then she heard a noise that sounded like heavy breathing and footsteps behind her. She turned around quickly while slowly grabbing her bottle of pepper spray in her purse, but as she turned around she was shocked to be met with nothing but the street lights blinking on and off before going back to normal. She tried calming herself down and kept telling herself that she was just paranoid from the scary story that her co-works told her about what happened to a young woman walking by herself at night, the young woman was brutally murdered by some unseen force.

Alex turned back around and started walking but at a faster pace, then that's when she heard footsteps from behind her. Alex sped up her pace even more than before, She turned around to be met with a dark shadow halfway in the light seventeen feet away from her, the only thing that she could make out was a wide Cheshire cat-like smile, it had no eyes.

Alex was frozen in place by fear, she couldn't move her body; she was glued to the spot until the shadow, like being, took a step towards her. Alex snapped out of it and yelled "leave me alone I will call the cops!!" the shadow being's smile only grew large. Alex turned around and bolted to her apartment.

Alex ran into her apartment and slammed the door shut locking it causing her flatmate to wake up and asked what happened. Alex told Olivia, her flatmate, what happened. Olivia comforted her and they both headed to sleep. To this day Alex is still petrified on what happened and never told anyone else what had happened that night.
