You sat alone in your hive. It was quiet. The feeling hadn't left you alone, its been a few weeks. Sollux hasn't kept in contact with you in that time. You think he's done with you. Suddenly, there was a knock. You got up slowly and walked over "Hello?"

"Eriidan? Iit'2 me, 2ollux."

You opened the door slowly peerig out. Sure enough Sollux stood there. He had a smile on his face. You had a frown. He came in, and you both sat on the couch.

He looked over at you "2o. How2 iit goiing?" You shrug "Iit2 been OK 2o far." He scratched his neck "2o, uh...KK 2aiid he'd be my Mate2priit..." You nod "Congrats to you guys." He nods "Thank2." You stand, and walk into the kitchen "So I take it, you'vve come ovver to tell me you don't need me?" Sollux appeared behind you "Iin the nice2t po22iible way ye2." You nod not facing him "I understand." Sollux turned you around "Lii2ten Erii. Iit wa2 really niice of you to do that for me. Ii really appreciiate iit." You laugh hollowly "No problem Sol." He sighs "Look, Ii don't want to make thiing2 awkward between u2..." You turn towards him "Its not, wwere fin Sol." He smiles and nods "Iim glad. Iill 2ee you around then?" You smile falsely "Of course."

There was tears. A lot of them, and not just from you. You couldn't make out who it was, but they were crying and screaming your name. You don't like the screaming. You hate the screaming. Your trying to move, to cover your ears to make it stop, but you can't. You can't move. You can't move, and it scares you. You can't move your arms. You need to protect him, you have to protect him...Who's him? Why do you want to protect him? Is it Sollux? No...No...But who?

You sat up gasping for breath, your arms scrambling to your stomach. You pant as you regain your senses. You slowly begin to breath normally, when it hits you 'A horrorterror...' Your eyes go wide 'No, No! Not yet...' Your eyes fill with tears, and purple streaks down your face. You, and very well every troll knows what horrorterrors mean. The drones were coming.

You sat in your small cave thinking about what you were to do. There was no escaping the drones. You wondered who you could say goodbye to. No one really wanted anything to do with you anymore, so there really wasn't a point. The only way they might find out about you dying is if they somehow stumbled upon the list of dead that the drones had. You laughed, the sound echoing through the cave. You stand, as it was almost time. You needed to get back to your hive, or your death would be worse than it already is.
