Louis' eyes gazed at the enormous mansion that stood before him. The lads behind him were jumping up and down , eager to join the party spirit. Liam , Niall and Zayn got out of the car in seconds, running to Sheeran's principal door in a series of bantering retorts , debating over who would drink the more through the night. Louis stood there, almost paralyzed, only felt the cool breath of the wind draught through his caramel fringe, enveloping them in an electrifying atmosphere. The gigantic house , rooftop dusty brown, wood already decayed didn't inspire any good to Louis. He could hear the loud pounding of some tune from the open windows. The sky was dark and cloudy, wind blowing through the gusty trees on the side of the house. He exhaled, once , twice. It was his first proper party. The closest he'd been to this situation was shows or movies, which broadcasted people jumping from rooftops or drowning in a pool half of the time. He wasn't scared, he was ... anxious, excited even. He didn't know what to expect, nor what to do. Niall and Liam seemed already quite familiar with the whole process, their eager comments and memories of "Sick nights bro, a right craic" and " tunes after tunes , completely mental, you should've been there" reminding them great times. He just stood there nodding and smiling at their adventures, virgin to all of these experiences. Zayn and Harry, he wouldn't even talk about them, they seemed to live for the party. Or more precisely, the party lived for them. He snuggled up his hands in his pockets to warm them up.
"You ready? You seem a bit out of it." A deep voice asked him, making his body startle a bit , even though he got a bit used to the constant surprise of hearing the curly boy's voice out of nowhere every day. He shrugged and nodded quietly, unsure of his state. Excitement was building up in him. From the yelps and laughs echoing from the huge mansion, the party seemed fun enough. He'd just have to relax, have a drink or two and enjoy the music - He figured.
Here goes nothing... , the young lad thought to himself, following Harry's slim frame to the entrance of Sheeran's home.
Before entering the giant two-door entrance, Harry turned to Louis and warned him in a serious, yet vague tone.
"Don't accept drugs, random drinks or money from weird looking people and you'll be alright. Other than that, relax and have fun."
Lou shook his head in response of his mate's warning and gulped. This should be easy.
No drugs , no random drinks , no money. He repeated to himself as if it was some kind of mantra. They finally stepped in the house and first thing that stunned Louis was the smell. A mix of booze, smoke and sweat tickled his nose and made his face twist in a cringe. Harry didn't flinch one bit, probably used to it by now. Lou followed closely Harry through the sea of people, not wanting to be left alone the first few seconds. The catchy and heavy rhythm of the song spilling out of the sound system reverberated through his chest. He jostled through the sweaty dancing bodies, but then, rushed too quickly into a random lad's shoulder.
"Sorry mate."
Louis looked at him quickly, his glasses fogging up from the humidity of the house. He noticed spiked up brownish hair , a varsity jacket and a mocking face... The bloke looked weirdly familiar. He lowered his head and walked past him without any more comments, it wasn't important anyway, so he dropped off the subject. He didn't want to spark up a fight two minutes into his first party. He felt a small pat on his shoulder and turned to Harry's face, which was mouthing out words over the music.
