The Link

so last night my best Friend and I, his name is Tom, were on FaceTime and he said he was going to send a link to a funny video he found on YouTube. My laptop pinged, indicating that he had sent me a message.

He suddenly screamed at me to wait and to not open that link.

I agreed, confused and because he sounded pretty serious about not opening the link.

My laptop pinged again so I opened the new link which sent me to a 'YTP' Video.

It made me chuckle but we resumed talking shortly after. I kept asking him to tell me what the link was but he kept quickly changing the subject.

A few hours go by and I tell him that I'm heading to bed but I instead, after ending the call, open the link which he sent.

It opens with a black and red box which says "welcome"

I click 'next' and it asks me to create an account.

I enter my name, nickname and password.

A popup came up on my screen saying "congratulations! you won the new iPhone 11!"

I tried to click the 'x' but I couldn't.

My mouse had a mind of it's own and slowly started moving towards the 'claim now' button.

A message popped up on my screen saying "CHECK YOUR PHONE"

My phone pinged and almost gave me a heart attack.

My hands were trembling as I opened the message from 'UNKNOWN''

It was my whole address, recited perfectly.

I ran to the bathroom and threw up.

There was a voice message too.

I played it and what came out of my speakers made me nauseous.

I began to cry as i heard the words:

"We're on our way" in a deep raspy voice followed by a devilish laugh.

Now I'm just on my bed. crying and waiting.
